I'm not sure I'd call doing one or more scenes on GDP getting into porn but Kristy Althaus's videos put real pornstars' to shame.

GDP is pretty much the best anyways so it can't get much higher. but very true.

Well this thread is now creepier than the Miss Teen USA pageant

they're above age and willingly do it. get a grip.

It wasn't the idea of them doing porn, it was more the statement 'they do porn now so thats cool'

*some do porn.

and why wouldn't that be cool?

Is "females" a derogatory term now? I don't think males wear sports bras in their athletic wear like in the picture of the woman I was quoting.

I think some people consider it a bit off as it's referring to a person as their sex. Like, a woman is a female human. Sort of like referring to people as "the blacks" or "the gays."

Reading is hard.

Oh yes, being a jerk about asking what something is. That's always helpful. Thanks.
Funnily enough, I have little intention of googling whatever the "#BadGrandpaMovie" hashtag is if it's going to come up with things like that to answer the question, or I would have just done that instead of asking.

It's a comedy by Johnny Knoxsville. Its about a boy and his grandpa going around making real people uncomfortable. It's funny.

I'd be fine with a swimsuit competition if we just made the pageant co-ed like the Oscars or some shit

Sorry for the derail, but: How far removed is that movie from the mean-spirited nature of the Jack-ass films? Cause I kinda wanna see it, but then I think back at how lame I thought jackass and all that was back when I last saw it, and I lose all interest.

It's mostly about doing outrageous things in front of other random people and making them uncomfortable. I don't care for the Jackass films, but found this one humorous. It's more in line with the borat style of comedy.

Though I wonder if this is the "body positivity win" that they say it is. I haven't watched a pangent in like two decades, but are the contestants still super skinny? I'm betting there aren't a lot of size 10 evening gowns back stage.

They'll still model outfits. Just not swimsuits. Wouldn't really call it a step in the right direction as much as a swerve to the side.

Well... there was a movie called "Bad Grandpa" thought that was pretty easy to suss out from the hashtag "#BadGrandpaMovie"

Probably just because the judges have an athletic wear fetish. They want some fit teens who can kick their asses or something like that.

ah okay, well you were the second person to bold my use of "females" so I was starting to wonder..
In general we don't use "females" as a noun to refer to people. We use "women" or "girls" or whatever. "Females" as a noun is generally used for (non-human) animals. "Female" works as an adjective in all cases, though.

Must be sponsored by Nintendo now -budumpish-

But seriously had no idea this was a part of the competition. I knew a girl in high school that made it pretty far in this competition though, never looked into it myself because... well who cares.

When was this decided and ultimately why does it matter? Is the word "female" offensive now?

Why have an "athletic wear" section if the point is to not overtly sexualize contestants who are young (and some of whom may be underage)? It's not going to be much less revealing.

Whole idea of pageants is kinda creepy and stupid to me, anyway, so I guess I'm not going to get it

I'm honestly kind of surprised that people are surprised about the whole swimsuit thing. It wasn't too long ago that TLC would be running shows about child beauty pageants 24 hours a day.

I'm pretty sure Honey Boo Boo saw her fair share of swimsuit competitions as well.

So grown men watch 14-year olds prancing around in sexy clothing.

I think pedophilia is the elephant in the room here.
