can someone explain to me what went down with this?
they say they appealed to third and said that it was ruled he didn't swing...
they then say it didn't hit his hand...
and
the ball clearly hit something... but if he didn't swing... and it didn't hit him, it didn't hit the bat... what magical thing could it hit that he would be out (beyond the fact that the ball radically changed directions so clearly hit something...)
I just don't get how he is out if he didn't swing

Did you even see Cole? Dude dropped a f-bomb and then some in there. Then he fucking bolts it towards 1B because he realized Gomez would actually beat the shit out of him.

His ISO is pretty low right now, but he's never going to hit for power. He's already 25, so it's not likely that he's going to get any stronger.
