You joke, but some of the Francophone population in Quebec are still probably reeling over the loss of the Expos and refuse to support the Jays or MLB as a way to stick it to their Anglophone masters.

Indeed. Montreal seeded the foundations of baseball in Canada that the Jays finished building in 1992 and 93. Only now are we starting to see the fruits of their labor start to grow in fantastic, young baseball talent coming out of Canada. But there certainly needs to be more in terms of even distribution. Most of the players coming out are from BC, the rest filling out from Ontario, and then Russell Martin.

Also heard from the grapevine that Roberto Osuna is now a permanent reliever, and that the team is looking at possibly making Joe Biagini a starter in Spring Training.

With the Rams back in town, still feels weird not seeing Dodgers fans also be Rams fans, like it used to be for forever pre-STL move. It was almost always Giants/Niners vs Doyers/Rams.

If I'm being remotely honest I am going to join the two-teamers when he comes over.
game was soo good, Fighters' OF Nishikawa made a risky steal w/ 2 outs in the 10th to get in scoring position. Osera was shook but still threw a nice slider to Otani...but he knew they were trying to get him inside and just went down and smacked it. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

The thing is, ultimately, you need amenities to attract the casual fans out to the Bronx for maybe a day at the park once, twice a year maybe. The hardcore Yankee fan will go no matter what, even if the stadium is considered 'sterile'. But the people living in New Jersey, Manhattan, or Brooklyn that don't care? That's who the Yanks are trying to attract with this stuff, and why I don't have a problem with it.
And also, even if Yankee Stadium II is considered sterile, it's an infinitely better looking ballpark then the cavern that is the Rogers Centre.
