Fuck you MLB, I manage a sportsbook website and here I was wondering why the hell the Cubs - Angels game didn't have pitchers announced and only had the Money Line posted. Why would there be a spring training game in Opening Day?

Cards open the season today to show everyone the right way to play the game.

It's like XMAS. Cards/WM/Walking Dead today.

I mean, it's certainly possible that a person has a combination of attributes that could include being white, racist, and hating Canada.

I imagine these aren't exclusionary qualities.

But now that I think about it. Rickey did bat flips in Canada too and no one cared.

Maybe they just hate Jose Bautista.

Now would that make them racist? Or just Bautistaist?

One of you people are in college, right? Someone do a study.

Let's go Pirates!

Let's go Rays!

Let's go Royals!

Hey RBH,

Let's make this fun. Which team will have the worst record this year, the A's or the Braves?

How bout this. If the Braves finish with a worse record, I'll send some delicious Bay Area treats your way. Sourdough bread, ghiradelli, that kind of stuff.

If the A's have a worse record, you send me whatever people in Atlanta eat outside of Chik fil a?

Yeah its really weird, just play a real game, or have it yesterday instead. Has this happened before? Spring training and season games being played on the same day?

On top of that, Cubs opener at 9pm? Fuck you west coast!

not in Atlanta but Waffle House needs to be part of this.

Pretty sure they are! Or at least the Cards/Bucs game is.

edit: just kidding it may not actually be blacked out! that would have been super dumb

Lineup for the Cardinals:

Marp 3B
Pham LF
Holliday 1B (!!!)
Grichuk CF
Piscotty RF
Molina C
Wong 2B
Gyorko SS (...)
Wainwright P

Super excited that Holliday-To-First may solve this team's 1B problem, but not looking forward to the first ball Gyorko can't get to that any average SS would.

I'm excited to see how Holliday is defensively there. Especially since Oquendo wasn't around for a bit during ST?

He's worked out there all winter apparently and looked pretty OK. Better than Moss at least.

Oquendo is actually gone for the whole season (and maybe forever)! Really sucks, IMO. Dude is one of the greatest 3B/fielding coaches ever.

Yeah isn't national telecasts always blacked out MLB.TV regardless of local blackouts?

I have the option to watch the Pittsburgh and St Louis broadcasts, at least. We'll know in an hour I guess, but it looks like it might just be the ESPN national one that's blacked out.

Gyorko would have been fine if Oquendo were around. As it is, we're screwed.

I don't know much about Tejada. Is he going to be our defensive replacement type guy?

What do people eat in ATL anyway?

Southern comfort food (fried chicken, mashed potatoes, greens, etc) and BBQ top the list, but Atlanta's food scene in general is so incredibly diverse that it's hard to narrow it down to one or two categories.
