Everything Happ throws has sharp subtle movement. So this is actually par for the course. If you can't barrel something up on the sweet spot, it's hard to drive the ball for extra basehits. But because he doesn't overpower, it's more than easy to get contact.

He gets his strikeouts when his 4-seam high fastball chase percentage is up. But it seems a lot of the hitters on the Rangers like it high, so that takes that away.

If anything, Happ is the pitcher that the Rangers should have the most success with. And in a lot of ways, they are - but that RISP is bad.
