What's wrong with the team with the better record having home-field advantage like every other sports matchup ever?

I just find it dumb with such incredibly imbalanced schedules.

A coin flip would be less stupid, so no. Deciding it by if the groundhog sees its shadow would be less stupid. It would be less stupid to decide it by the vote of a randomly chosen all-star game voter.

it's the one major plus to konerko likely retiring after this season.... the white sox will be hard pressed to get someone slower than him in the lineup next year, which should make the combo of konerko + what ever slow person after him for double plays a little less automatic ><;
