I am just about ready to get out of this goddam genre forever. I knew there was a reason I was avoiding hitting 60 with any of my WOW characters and now I know why...

...once you hit 60 the game becomes as big of a nightmare as every other mmorpg out there.

I hate waking up one day and realizing how much time you waste in these fucking things without accomplishing a damn thing. You never 'beat them' and you never get the crazy cool stuff unless you devote your life to them.

Ugh. Yeah. Sore spot for me atm.

After three years of FFXI and still not hitting end-game, I pretty much resigned myself to the fact that I'll never reach end-game in any MMORPG. They can still be fun, though. I'm taking my time with WoW... nice and sloooow (22 so far).

Slightly off topic, but I tried out EVE's 14 day trial tonight and I can't believe how bad it is. The GUI is the biggest clusterf*ck of an interface I've ever seen and the game is basically a chat room with pretty graphics.

In the few hours I played, the most exciting thing I did was plot waypoints on a 3d virtual map to deliver a letter to a NPC 12 jumps away. I won't even comment on the combat...

It's an......aquired taste. Some find it very rewarding. Lot's of info thrown your way at a fast pace.

Rumor has it that the Lord of the Rings: The White Council MMORPG is coming out for the PS3 and 360 in 2007.

Yes I heard this somewhere too, I think I even saw screenshots.

Also I hear EQ2 will soon be coming out with their first expansion.

Yeah, Auto Assault, which is pretty fun to play. But even though it features cars and high-speed chaces it's really not that different from all the other MMO games from what I heard. Unfortunately. It does look quite stylish though.

A LOTR MMORPG is bound to come out, you have this enormous world you can play in, visit all the locations mentioned in the books and can even go beyond that.

nda lifted so I can talk. Tbh it's a basic mmo affair, nothing in it really exciting yet although they have a lot of work to do. It just feels like daoc in cars atm.

I like neocron, its just buggy, no one plays it, and I couldnt get into A.O.

Us in the office were just talking about how awesome it would be if a Shadowrun/Cyberpunk type game was made... of course it would HAVE to be good..
