so new eps start tomorrow on USA, anyone know if any canadian channel will air it as well? i read somewhere these new eps are still part of season 3. anyone know if they have a new sharona? i read something like they were changing her?
anyway, i gotta say, monk is a pretty good show, i always thought 24 is the only good thing tv has to offer, but i was quite surprised at monk, i watched 1 eps and i was hooked after, so i got all the other eps.
monk + 24 = super tv heaven

Here's the storyline for her exit. I picked up Season One on DVD, will be downloading the new episodes, hopefully they show up online. Damn lack of Canadian broadcast.

She went home to care for her mother. There. That's why she left. Supposedly, from reviews, Traylor Hackford does a pretty good job...but she's no Bitty Schram

I'm going to have give Traylor Howard a thumbs up on her performance. I found her character likeable, smart and I'm a general fan of the dynamic involved. She's no Sharona, but she doesn't have to be a Sharona. It was great to see the way the episode progressed and Monk got back into it bit by bit.

I missed the entire second and third seasons, so I'll have to look around for the Second Season super cheap on DVD.

I'm never home when the shows I'm interested in are on anyway (lost, monk, survivor, smallville)

Had to get rid of digital tv this month because of the strain on my budget but I mostly relied on that for espn and random movies on usa, tnt, tbs, tmc, etc. I will miss 'em but honestly I devote about 6 hours of my week to tv if that.

And man, tv episodes in hdtv format with the commercials already cut out of them for free = gold.

I was disappointed that Monk doesn't air in HDTV, even thought it is definitely filmed in HDTV, since Season One DVDs are in widescreen.

Eh, episode was alright. Disappointed at lack of Schram. The way they wrote off her character at the beginning of the ep was total cheapness. I was rolling my eyes at that shit. But really, I guess they couldn't have done much better. I was watching it thinking, "Damn, I know where this chick (Howard) is from..." But I couldn't remember. Dirty Work! She's cute. Time will tell if I accept her as a replacement.
