There is a Monopoly (and more board games) for almost every franchise that has a fanbase that would buy it (seriously look at the official website). This has extended to gaming properties in the last few years as well like Street Fighter, Mass Effect, Sonic the Hedgehog, Halo, Skylanders and Fallout (except Borderlands, they only get Yahtzee).
This also includes Nintendo with Nintendo Monopoly debuting in 2006 before the recent wave of others (Pokémon had releases in 1999 and 2001 but these were partially based on the anime).
But instead of just continuing to slap some IP on regular Monopoly USAopoly has decided to make a Monopoly specifically for the video game audience with MONOPOLY GAMER Edition.
Yeah, despite the name MONOPOLY GAMER it's wholly based on Mario. It looks like they really took Mario's Smash nickname to heart.
Likewise they've seem to have done the same with Luigi's nickname as Donkey Kong/Yoshi have forced Luigi to Power Pack status. Also the packs having Rosalina and no Daisy makes me sad.
At least with these random packs Monopoly is truly representing the modern world of video games in Monopoly Gamer Edition.

Both Editions:
Monopoly Gamer Power Pack: $2.99
The Collectors Edition differs in a few ways that you can see in more detail in the Gamestop unboxing video. The most obvious is a Bowser piece being included. There is also a molded storage space for the 8 additional Power Pack Figures.
The booklet that comes with this version is more detailed and includes a place to store the stickers of the characters. Every Power Pack character comes with a sticker but the stickers for the included characters appear to only be in the Collector's Edition. The Collectors Edition coins appear to be actual plastic while the regular edition coins look like cardboard.
Finally the game involves 8 Boss cards to play. In the regular edition this is Bowser and the 7 Koopalings. But in the Collector's Edition the Bowser card is replaced with an exclusive Bowser Jr. card. So to have everything you would need to buy both versions to get both the Bowser and Bowser Jr. Boss card. Reminds me of how the Collector's Edition of Zelda Monopoly (also Gamestop exclusive) had some extra stuff including the Ocarina of Time, but it replaced the slingshot in the regular edition.

The MONOPOLY brand from Hasbro and Nintendo today announced the launch of the MONOPOLY GAMER Edition game that introduces beloved Nintendo characters and new twists to the MONOPOLY game.
The MONOPOLY GAMER Edition game will feel familiar yet fresh to both MONOPOLY and Nintendo fans, as players race around the board to complete levels (buy property), collect coins (money)either from the bank or by using special powers to take them from other playersand battle legendary bosses to rack up points and win the game. Players can choose from fan-favorite Super Mario character tokens, such as Mario, Donkey Kong, Princess Peach and Yoshi.
For the first time in MONOPOLY history, each character token will have its own unique Power-up ability, introducing another layer of strategy for new and old players alike. For example, landing on the Super Star board space will activate Princess Peachs Super Star ability to collect rent from the bank. Players can also activate a special Power-up boost by rolling the Power-up die.
The MONOPOLY GAMER Edition game combines the world of Nintendo with the physical, face-to-face world of the MONOPOLY game, said Jonathan Berkowitz, senior vice president of global marketing for Hasbro Gaming. By giving MONOPOLY tokens unique abilities and adding game-play elements such as the Power-up die, we are offering fans an exciting new way to engage with two of their favorite gaming brands.
The MONOPOLY brand has been a staple in the gaming aisle for more than 80 years, and were excited to give Mario, Yoshi and other characters the chance to Pass GO and bring their powers to life in MONOPOLY GAMER Edition game, said Tom Prata, Nintendo of Americas Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives. This collaboration is the latest example of Nintendos efforts to give fans a variety of fun and surprising ways to interact with their favorite Super Mario characters.
The standard MONOPOLY GAMER Edition game will be available this August at mass market retailers for a suggested retail price of $24.99, and is for ages 8 and up. Fans can take their MONOPOLY GAMER experience to the next level with the purchase of MONOPOLY GAMER POWER PACKS (each sold separately), which include one of several Super Mario character tokens like Luigi, Boo, Rosalina, Wario, Diddy Kong and more. The POWER PACKS will be available this August for a suggested retail price of $2.99 each.
Starting today, the MONOPOLY GAMER Collectors Edition game is available at select GameStop stores in the United States, featuring premium packaging and a bonus Bowser token, available exclusively in this edition of the game. The MONOPOLY GAMER Collectors Edition game will also be available at additional online retailers later this year.

Super Mario Level Up!
Amazon ($19.99):
In Super Mario Level Up! join Mario and his pals as you advance them up the Mushroom Kingdom while challenging other players to gather the most coins and reach the castle at the top.
Each player starts with a unique line-up of characters that they are trying to score the most points with. Players take turns moving any character up the board until a character gets to the top.
Once a character is advanced to the top board, players vote to see if the character stays or is kicked off the Mushroom Kingdom. It takes only one NO vote to get them off the board. And players should use the NO votes wisely as each player only has two NO votes in their hand. The round ends when the character is unanimously voted to stay at the top.
Score up your points and play another round. Game ends after three rounds.
