just break his horns to stop wind barrier. after that he's easy. or get windpress and don't worry about it.Brannon said:Wow, I was getting so cocky.
Then I decided to fight a Kushala Doara. Fuck this, what the hell!? It has a wind shield that randomly bounces back my shots, its turning animation is one single fluid move, and... and... and it's owning me! And the thing is, he's not that hard, it's that damn shield!
FUUUUUUUUUUU...
Time to rethink some things.
i didn't think it was G rank (i don't have access to G rank yet and i read it's just high rank vespoid...). i have 1 broth already but i don't know where i got it. i'm in the middle of a vespoid downloadable quest... it's high rank (6 stars). using a poison weapon i've downed some without blowing them up -- i mostly get vespoid parts, but i've gotten one monster fluid... so i don't expect to get any broth from these.Johnlenham said:Poison also stops the wind shield and the fire version for Lun/teo.
Monster broth is that G rank? I think it is, if so use poison bombs and go on the G rank vespoid queen quest and poison bomb the little buggers. In a group of 3 I took my 2 runs for 10 so its not to bad.

Bad news, new monsters are in G-rank missions(except for Nargacuga). You'll only get to see new areas in cat elder quests as you fight the same monsters you did before.Schmitty07 said:The second set of Cat missions are really dragging on. I want to see the new monsters, not PLESIOTH!!
dfyb said:is there any way to take down rathalos easily(strats/equipment tips)? for some reason, rathalos/rathian give me more problems than even some of the elder dragons. need to farm those bastards for their plates.

Niblet said:Fellow hunters, I seek your assistance. How exactly do breakable parts work? For example, I want to upgrade my Kut-Ku Jaw (hammer) and it requires 4 Kut-Ku ears. Now I have broken plenty of Kut-Ku face in, complete with shattered lobes, but for the life of me I never get Kut-Ku ears. I've read that they come up at the reward screen, but I never get any. So my questions:
1) I tend to slay the Kut-Ku. Would catching it make a difference?
2) Are breakable parts randomly awarded? I'd assume so seeing as how I haven't gotten any.
3) Does higher mission rank = better chance? I'm up to Elder Quest Rank 4, but I been killing Kut-Ku in Rank 2 and 3 missions for an easier time.
4) Are any breakable parts ever offered as standard mission rewards and not as an added bonus?
Azure Rathalos said:1) It's been said that you get more rewards from capturing the monsters, so try doing that too. But...
2) Breaking the parts increases the chance of getting the corresponding part, but doesn't necessarily guarantee it.
3) Higher mission rank makes the rarer items from a lower rank more common, so yes. Although the actual rank 'increase' in the elder quests happens only when you reach the final set of missions...
4) Yes.
Remember to pet your pig before every mission.
Heavy petting brings good fortune....Niblet said:Wait, what does petting the pig do besides make him/her follow me around town?

Where I got my ass soundly SPANKED.
So now that I've had a nice, manly, cry in the bathtub I think I'll regroup and try again a bit later. Oh and any suggestions would be greatly appriciated.

Been HBG his ass. HR 6 took me 40 min to kill.Radd Spencer said:I'm a little shocked how many people on adhoc party can't deal with Kirin. Especially since he has different "tells" for his safe and unsafe lightning spread(s). It's a pain in the arse that I have to solo G Kirin just to get materials I want. Took me 45 minutes and the ~constant~ rotating of the camera left my hand so sore I had to stop playing. Should I make a tutorial video? (lol, and I'm not talking about sleep bombing either) Anyone else out there that know when and when not to attack him?![]()
