Capcom has announced Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC (Steam). It will launch in 2026.

Here is an overview of the game, via Capcom:
This all-new adventure is the latest installment in the popular RPG series where Monster Riders embark on thrilling journeys across the vast world of Monster Hunter.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection tells the story of two nations on the path to ruin. Amidst the growing crystal encroachment facing the lands of Azuria and Vermeil, the discovery of a mysterious egg gives cause for hope. From the shell hatches a monster long thought to be extinct, a Rathalos. However, this glimmer quickly gives way to despair as a second monster emerges from the egg. The twin Rathalos share the same mark as the twin Skyscale Rathalos, portents of destruction that hearken back to a civil war waged 200 years ago. As the environment deteriorates and monsters face extinction, the flames of war once again begin to stir.

I kind of hope the gameplay has had some serious changes; I didn't like the demo for Stories 2 on Steam.

I do like the older protagonist and more serious tone for this game, so it's something to keep an eye on, at least.

And then someone pointed out that it released on PS4 last year. But Wikipedia is not up to date as the intro only says Switch and Windows
Is it a MH wiki or normal wiki?
Normal wiki has this info.

I said "the intro". (I'm not gonna read the whole page of a game I don't care about)

It's like nobody reads what I write (which is terrible as I want to become a published author).

Do you like turn based combat? Do you like/love the MH world/lore? If so you will like these games.

Keep in mind the first game is literally a 3ds game so don't expect deep mechanics or insane visuals
The problem is that MH lore is good but the way they deliver story is close to awful, so my question is, is MHS games the same lvl o trash story telling of main games or its better ? i dont mind turn based, i m playing Metaphor and Legend of Legaia right now.

I think this is the 1st one to come to Xbox. That's cool. I'll keep an eye on it.
I'm extremely surprised they are bringing it to Xbox.

All I can say is Xbox players need to finally start buying and supporting these good games (if it turns out good) otherwise these companies are going to start saying "fuck it" and stop releasing them

We just have to coast until next year then we get the PC stores anyway lol. But yeah, I will consider it. I buy pretty much everything SQEX and already got both Octopath games for Xbox despite already owning them on Switch. MH Stories, I honestly have never thought it's good. This looks a bit more impressive but just cinematics only. At the very least I would get it on sale for sure. Bought Kunitsu-Gami as well. Buying Onimusha and Pragmata day 1.

I got MH Stories 1 when it was a $30 handheld game. It's not clear it's really worth $60 to me, but I will be watching.

It's about on the level of a light hearted anime. It's better at story telling than the main games in the sense that these games are much more story focused and tell a better narrative, imo. Lots of cutscenes too

are MHS any good ? i m a sucker for MH main games, but never played stories
MHS2 is the first Monster Hunter game I ever beat. MHS games are really not that great gameplay wise and the story is the same generic slop as the mainline games. I hope they actually focus on the gameplay, maybe borrow some pages from the clair obscur playbook to spice it up.
