Doesn't median income via race say differently? I wonder how he came to that conclusion. Still love him as an actor though.

I saw an interview in which he said racism would be solved if people stopped talking about race.
Sounds like the view of a rich black man.
...when you're Morgan Freeman.
Yeah this is like his Black History Month thing too.
It's like, you're not wrong, Morgan Freeman, you're just talking about the world that should be instead of the world that is. We'll get there eventually, but not this way.

I think you'll find that person is David Attenborough. I'm a nature documentary hipster though.
I don't know if it's funny or sad that so many successful people think they're successful because they worked harder than everyone else
This dude lived in the south during the 50s and 60s. I'm sure he has seen some shit and this mentality is what's worked for him. Not focusing on race and trying to make people around him do the same thing. He simply has that old school no excuses mentality. Pretty clear he hates talking about this subject.
I think the title of this clip is silly but the guy just wishes people would stop bringing up race so much.

And I agree it is not. Racism is very real and should be talked about but not everybody has to talk about it if they don't want to and rather be seen as a person first rather than a representative of their specific race. It's what the world should be.
So he's selling out to the white man cause he doesn't choose to be an activist or represent anyone but himself?Morgan Freeman is so huge because he's non-threatening to white audiences. If he openly said that racism is indemic in American life and that blacks should have a bigger piece of the pie, it's hard to see him getting anymore big roles because he'd be a "militant" that would scare whites away from his movies. He's smarter than that.
I can't really disagree with him here. I think that's how we should treat people and how the world should be.

After Lean on Me, the only roles I recall him playing are "advisor to white protagonist." Whether that's representative of his stance or not...

Ernest Hemingway once wrote, "The world is a fine place and worth fighting for." I agree with the second part.Yeah this is like his Black History Month thing too.

This is why white people love him so much I guess
Because all white people are racists, am I right?
It is really weird how celebrities seem to be out of touch with income-related social issues happening in their own countries but yet being really aware and focused on poverty issues in underdeveloped countries.
Kinda funny, right? He was God, and STILL ended up playing that role.
Well, he's wrong. Alot of people do think this way though. They want to believe that the US is a meritocracy that simply rewards those who work hard and that wealth among families and communities has nothing to do with future success. They think this way because they cant believe that the world could be so unfair.
