The game is good. 7.5/10 good. But I don't think it is 50 dollars good. I tried to trade it in but it is only worth like 12 bucks now so I'm holding onto it. Here is hoping Jade Empire 2 is a better fleshed out game.

I don't think word of mouth killed it. I think hype sold it up front. It's just not a well known title, but the prerelease hype made sure all hardcore fans new about it.
