I remember reading the kids book with the part where a committee of Grand Moffs have a "mofferance" on their "moffship". Even at the age of 7 or 8 I thought it was the dumbest thing ever.

The Shawken Device theoretically would have blown up the planet Shawen, super accelerated the fragments, set off a chain reaction, and destroy the universe. The dude who made it was never got depressed enough to turn it on.

Abeloth, made me hate the EU books when Yuuzahan Vong/Jacen downfall already made it hard to read and
. Can't believe they tried to cannoize that shit with the show.
Its powers were so ridiculous and OP that I was just sick of it. Worse is that it was the last series of books before Disney took over so EU ended on a sour note for me.

People keep saying this, but the truth is, the more dangerous looking it is the more you realize that the user has to be skilled enough to use it like that. I remember a magazine cover back when Phantom Menace came out depicting Maul chopping himself in half with his own double bladed saber--no Obi-wan required.

Where did I say I hated it? I'm poking fun at how most of Wookieepedia is filled with long backstories for characters who appeared on screen for all of two seconds.
And a lot of it is, as this thread shows, undeniably ridiculous.
I know my man Solo was hitting that.
I read a ton of the EU when I was a child and it took me a while to realize how bad some of it was.
Super star destroyer Lusankya, sister ship to the Executer, 19,000 meters/11.8 miles long.
Buried on the surface of Corusant to serve as a evacuation ship for the emperor and after his death became a private prison for Ysanne Isard.
Absolutely no one knew it was buried there, supposedly the empire either killed everyone who saw it happen or the emperor used the force to make everybody forget it.
Oh yeah btw, Lusankya was destroyed when the new republic installed a massive reinforced lance through the middle of the ship, packed it with explosives and rammed it into a Yuuzhan Vong worldship.
Honestly I enjoyed some of the Boba Fett stuff but the EU turned him into a super weapon.
Wasn't there something at one point about Palpatine being aware of the Yuuzhan Vong and that's why he created the empire or am I mixing something up?

They had some amazing engineers being capable of taking out the guts of a ship and installing a shaft through the middle of it
