Most UK Ass Game

Not from the UK but I wondered this since playing Apartment Story which is a pretty well made short story game

After playing it I checked out impressions of it and many people were going on about how much it felt like being in the UK. Small flat, light rain pouring out constantly, the odd cars parked next to the street etc.
made me wonder if there were other games out there that had similar motifs.

Assassin's Creed because you go around stabbing people.

Apartments?! Not a UK game, they're called flats.

Is Bully set in the UK?

Nah, New England I think. Made by British devs. Wouldn't really work in our country because stuff like bottle rockets and slingshots weren't as much of a school stereotype here.

Also it was called Canis Canem Edit (Dog Eat Dog) here because of the dumb moral panic at the time.

Dragon Quest VIII's localization is one of the most british things I've played.

The getaway
Came here to say this. This game is so British it's insane. I remember when I played this as a kid with my brothers and how infuriating it was driving on the wrong side of the road. And the game had this constant overcast to it and half the cars in trafic were taxis. Game was very dry and depressing in general, so it really felt like they nailed the London aesthetics well.

I want to buy the old GTAs but can't find them on the PC stores :messenger_crying:
I would buy the original GTA, GTA2 and GTA London if they released them on PlayStation.

Those games I'm sure don't hold up very well but they are iconic games. I would love to see a collection of them one day. The electric gun in GTA2 was crazy 😂

Bullfrog games, namely Theme Hospital and Dungeon Keeper, had silly UK vibe and humor. It added a unique flavor to the games, which I sometimes feel is sorely missing in modern games, or specifically city builders and management games. The city builder "Constructor" doubled down on the silly UK vibe.
