A mouses...or mices.....might be in the house. has anyone ever had their house exteriminated......if so....any smell afterward? like chemical-ish? dead mouse smell?

Huh? Just put out some traps.

Yeah, we had mice in our house when we moved in last year. I think because there was an opening in the basement/crawl space. Just set traps. If its a HUGE problem like them eating and shitting and getting all over the place, then go for an exterminator, but unless you live in a shack or something, you can get the problem over with for less than 10 bucks with some classic mouse traps.
