MS Cancels 1 on 1 Interviews with GB, GI.biz, Tapezilla...MCV?: "Scheduling conflict"

To me it either seems like MS doesn't trust their employes anymore to give out information, or they're actually still finalizing details about the controversial topics in question.

Either way, it raises a brow.

It really looks like they have no idea what to do with this console and changing plans for the One as we speak. Postponed till '14?

Well they basically a lot of ex G4 people (and Jessica Chobot) working for them to cover them. I imagine they will get the 1 on 1's in a MS controlled environment.

Probably the best move if the message about the Xbone isn't cohesive yet, but it definitely doesn't look good if they're really doing this.

Calm down guys...lets wait to see if 3 more people get their interviews cancelled. We need to focus on the positive TitanFall news right now.

microsoft cancelling E3 xbox one conference in 3,2,1... then cancelling the games, then cancelling the console itself... cancel, cancel, CANCEL EVERYTHING!!!

if they cancel most 1:1 meetings with games press (or even trend to cancel ones where the people would ask hard questions), this will be something of significance. shame patrick won't get to put them in the dump truck.

to play devil's advocate: right now, xbox executives whose schedule is probably INCREDIBLY packed because they are launching a new console, so they've had to selectively cancel meetings.

So any chance of MS clarifying or actually divulging any of their DRM or used games policy is not going to happen at e3? awesome.

can we expect an explanation at E3 why?

You can expect MS to ignore anything that portrays them in anything but but a flattering light. PR is going to be doing a full court press without offering the ability for people to question. I bet the final list of 1:1 interviews has plenty of "friendly" and highly "enthusiast" press to avoid any additional gaffs. I expect a very clear, very memorized repetition of buzz words and PR speak.

Again, this is probably good for them. The interviewer would just have their blood in the street anyway. We already know most of the stuff they would ask about anyway.

Kotaku wasn't cancelled yet. Schreier confirmed.

For now. I hope they don't cancel out on the outlets that will make the hard questions.

Jason, please, if you're told to follow guidelines on questions, do tell us. Or if they ask something not to be included in a written interview. Ask if you can take video, if they refuse, tell us. We should be getting everything from them, even how they act towards talking about their own console.
