Schedule 1 debuts with 142k concurrent players. #1 on sales chart. 98% positive rating.

Game of the decade for me. Just under 50 hours of play time. There is so much more under the surface that you honestly get suprised and are finding out new things all the time.

I bought it last night and yea it's actually really good. Just bagging weed in the cook serve delicious style is so satisfying.

I even like the art style. It just needs more stuff around the edges, such as music and voice acting. But it's early access.

It's basically been the global top grossing (non f2p) game for over 2 weeks now.
Get console releases too and it'll bring in more cash than Ass-Crack: Shadows. That's a weird thought to process.

This game is fucking crack.

I can not believe how much better indie games are in gameplay.

Fuck went in deep like 10 hour binge
Nintendo needs to secure this as a console exclusive…

Just about to bake my first crystal meth 😍

more originality and gameplay systems than big budget games.

Love when shit like this happens. Fuck graphics and all that other shit. Provide good mechanics and a gameplay loop and you create crack!

Made by one guy too? that's insane.

That's the prefect time to be a solo developer. Take an idea that you think would bring the most retarded crowd looking for the latest edgy concept and put a small price tag on it. The dude must be RICH by now.

I can also think of crab game.

the graphics being so awful really kills any immersion for me sadly.

I hate to say it but I guess I'm a graphics whore. I had the same problem with Valheim. All my friends loved it but I could not get past the shitty visuals

These games are made for streamers and their impressionable audiences who want to be part of the zeitgeist.
Nah, they're just good games. You're experiencing something called survivorship bias. You're not seeing the thousands of budget games that streamers try and drop and no one ever hears of them.

This game stuck because it offers something special for a lot of gamers. You can't fake player retention.

"The Player Retention Seal of Quality"

Game is fun...thats for sure. Thats my industrial meth production mixing it up with 8 ingredients:

Keeping up with the ingredient supply is the most annoying/tedious thing right now....but its also not really necessary. My dealers cant sell as fast as I produce anyway....so having a bit downtime in production here and there doesnt hurt at all. But seems I reached the endgame now. There is still one more district to unlock...but guess thats it afterwards.

That's subjective and I disagree. I think most of these meme games are mechanically shit. I like the idea of this drug dealer game, but I don't think this one looks good.

Complete nonsense.
Nah, it's true. You're not thinking rationally.

If streamers were really able to dictate a games success, you'd see big companies paying content creators for weeks or months straight because their audience are "impressionable".

That would give a massive advantage to big publishers in the Live Service market because they have the $$$ to pay.

Instead, games like Schedule 1 are smoking titles like Suicide Squad and Concord because you can't fake game quality in this space.

Here is your mistake: "I don't like game" does not mean "Game is objectively bad".

Schedule 1 is performing extremely well because it's dirt cheap, is a cool idea, and streamers are giving it loads of attention.
Correction: Schedule 1 is performing well because gamers are having fun with it.

You have streamer delusion. Delusions are difficult to break.

Drug production and dealing is already enough for me in GTA Online making me so much money I don't even need to log into the game anymore because I got everything.

You can deny it, but streamers continue to play a huge role in this games success. It's called earned marketing.

Streamers follow hot games.

Hot games don't follow streamers.

You really have to pay more attention to how many streamers are paid to play games that instantly flop. Suicide Squad was a massive streamer game at launch. So was Skull and Bones, Hyper Scape, Halo Infinite, BF 2042...Audiences don't care.

I watched Ninja crater his audience numbers when he left Fortnite to go play a new game back in 2018. He'd literally lose over half his audience on day 1, then he'd lose another 40% on day 2, then his audience would flock back when he came back to Fortnite on the 3rd day.

Just pay more attention to this stuff. You formed a hypothesis but you haven't tested it. I have.

Yeah but here you're doing menial busywork
Yeah...thats the point of these games. In other games you just sit and watch hours of cutscenes and in other games you fight a fckn boss for 20minutes with the same attacks over and over again. Different tastes, different video games. 🤷‍♂️

Yes "simulator' and crafting type games seem boring to me. This really doesnt seem like anything special either having watched a four/five hour stream of it.

Definitely a factor. The game is bigger because of streaming, objectively. However steam rating is high because people enjoy the game. You don't get a 98% steam because of streamer hype.

I am huge simulator and crafting fan....and no this game isnt special. Its just a cool GTA-vibed game with simple graphics and where everything works fluidly. You can have 20hrs fun with it and move on....when you like these busywork kind of games. If not, only move on. ;)

The only 'crafting' type game I actually loved was Valheim but thats because there are some good goals like killing the various bosses etc.
