My best friend went to a toilet themed restaurant.

My best friend is getting Lasek surgery in Hacienda Heights. While he was over there, he stumbled upon a toilet-themed restaurant.

It has a decidedly asian menu. Lots of curry and fried rice type dishes. He said the food was "okay". Not the best, but serviceable. What he liked about the place is it's theme though.

The chairs you sit in are toilets. All the food comes in toilet shaped bowls/plates and what not. He said it was a pretty cool place and the prices weren't terrible for the kitsch factor.

I seriously work about 2 minutes away from this place.

Yes, it is as ridiculous as it sounds. I went there the day it opened because I had to... I mean, who can resist "bloody poop."

It's a Chocolate Sundae with Strawberry Syrup.

Unfortunately this will appeal to the young yolo generation who will do anything stupid and disgusting just so they can get instagram/facebook likes.

Stupid, classless and disgusting.

I think you are taking this a little too seriously...

I pass by this place a lot! Have yet to try it though. I believe this is in Four Seasons Plaza?

They should have chocolate ice cream served in the toilet 'bowl' if they're like most other toilet restaurants. Modern Toilet was around for a while before the Instagram/Twitter explosion. (2004 or so)

Japan also has funky themed restaurants like the one where everything is set in a hospital.

The food there is pretty terrible.

It'd be better if the food at least played with the theme, but it doesn't. Just generic "noodle" this and "fried rice" that.

Do you have to go to the real toilet to take a leak/dump there or just open one of the toilet seats and let it all go on the spot?

You're joking, but you have to go to the real bathroom.

All the seats and decorative toilet set pieces aren't hooked up to anything.

Sounds like the sameish type of stuff at Class 302. The main attraction there is the decor anyway, right?

Themed, gimmicky restaurants are stupid.

In Taiwan I saw a restaurant themed as an airplane, meaning there were airplane seats, cramped booths, and food was served on tiny trays, probably with plastic utensils - unless you went to the business class.

I mean, what.

LOL I live closeby. Might give it a try.

BTW, it's close to Round 1 Arcade at the Puente Hills mall. Best arcade I've been to in years. Japanese UFO catchers, bowling and the newest video arcade games like Dark Escape and that Batman driving/shooting game.

Themed restaurants are so fun though. :/
