But I don't need to create such excuses for Europeans who visit America. You can easily find for yourself in any city or town without any risk of "being caught in a tourist trap" cheap and a VARIETY of food, free restrooms, and free water. IMO much easier than you can find that in Europe, regardless of if it exists in Europe if you look hard enough.
See this is what gets people annoyed, you are failing to understand cultural differences. Yes, you are definitely more likely to find American cultural norms in america.
Likewise you can easily find in Europe in any city or town, classy restaurants where you don't have to tip, readily accessible pedestrian access, and you can purchase food at a restaurant without being asked a million questions about how you want your food cooked and what you would like in it.
I included that last one as it is seen as a positive in america but most visiting tourists from Europe would consider it a negative.
Basically you sound like a terrible traveller, if you are going to constantly want things to be like your home then travelling is a waste.

In the "American food is sweet" thread everybody generalizes about American diets and laughs at fat Americans (including Americans).

In the thread criticizing Euro food it's a wall of defensive posts and starts escalating into a political debate.

America is an easy target. If you criticize or generalize jokingly or not many people will join in including other Americans.
