alright, so my brother went in to record with his band, coventry, over the weekend and came out with a few slick pop-rock tracks completely derivative of the music they listen to on a daily basis - but it sounds pretty good. at least, i think, and i pretty much hate the genre.

anyway, my brother plays the drums for the band, and he's looking for some feedback. honest thoughts are appreciated, jerks! remember, they're all 17.

Hm. The music sounds like anything else I suppose, which is fine if they want to be pop friendly. The singer sounds like his age though, that's my only complaint.

Do they like Death Cab? Hah. Wow, if they're 17 they sound great. Any of the non-chorus parts sound pretty weak, but it's really catchy. Impressive.

A very tight sound.
They could get on MTV if they got a better quality recording and the right people heard it.

They need to find someone who's better at recording drums. I quite like it - if I were being hyper-critical I'd say there are too many changes of pace especially through the first part of the song. It needs to settle down a little more, use the changes in pace to more effect later in the song (where things seem to work better in general). It's like there's two or three good songs in there fighting to get out at times. I liked the section with the dual vocal lines. How does that come across live?

iap's on point. Need a better recording of the drums. Very skilled for their age and your brother sounds like he's put some serious time in. Vocals are a tad weak but the instrumental is catchy and pretty well played. Olimario is also on point. Comparable to stuff that's played on MTV (when they do play music) of the same style.
