The Cincinnati Reds radio crew Marty Brennamen and Joe Nuxhall used to have a yellow phone they would use during rain delays to take calls from listeners. They called it the Chiquita Banana Phone (and still do.) They've been doing it for at least 20 years or more and this season they started using that song. Do you suppose thats the origin? The Reds hired a new color guy this season to split half the games with the old and absent minded Nuxhall and during one rain delay I know he said he wrote it but I thought he was joking.

I whipped this up in Sound Forge. I think it's the same tempo...just increased the pitch.
