I don't see why it's so hard accepting someone doesn't genuinely like a game.
I personally loved RE4. For me it was the best cube game by far and an amazing game overall.
That said, I think it's not without faults. The game's difficulty is completely derived from the controls, so hence when you change the controls you completely change the dynamic of it. However, I don't think they need to have tank/hindered controls to achieve suspense at all and this is a key area they should address for their next big update in the franchise.
Another game where this is screwed is MGS3. The retarded camera and not being able to move while aiming is ridiculous for a game of its class. If this game's storyline and storytelling wasn't as amazing as it was, I would've hated it.
