I have a Dell Inspiron 1000 and the power adapter is now fully fucked up. I searched on Dell's website for a replacement but it yielded nothing. Their online store is fucked. Does anyone know if it's possible to use a different power cord or something? Or buy a replacement from radioshack.

Just bring the old broken adaptor top Radio Shack, and ask for a replacement.
