They really are. Obviusly they're not perfect (though some of them really seem like some super humans sometimes), but in general very commendable.

Props for Steve Youngblood especially. He seems to always really think things through from all sides so well and back his case with very good arguing. It's really quite a pleasure reading his posts.

Also, having moderated at another message board for a couple of years a while back, I can't even imagine moderating at this place.

In my experiences with various gaming communities of dubious quality, the GAFfers and the Mods here call me and anyone else out on our bad behavior. I appreciate that.

While every mod should be an intelligent, constructive, level headed person, we also make an attempt to create a group with a variety of interests (sports, science, writing, politics, etc., so that every community sub-group has some form of representation), a variety of gaming tastes (handhelds, PC, console, along with a variety of preferences for different genres) and a variety of locations (some European mods, some American, some Australian and so forth, to have mods with different time schedules). While Evilore of course gets the final say, most moderators are picked by committee discussion with all of these factors in mind.

I thought this myself. The I realized he didn't get ROS.

Me neither. Not having the AH kinda killed it for me. Would prefer the AH to go alongside all the changes that were made in RoS. That, and the increased focus on reducing trade by binding drops really sunk my enthusiasm.

At least on the AH front I know Opiate agrees. And having Opiate agree with me on something is a boon to my self-esteem.

Opiate is not only smart, he is one handsome fellow too. (if that really was him during real pic january)
