I'm not interested in the FF game that uses the hard drive. I'm more interested in which one has the better build. My 1+ year ps2 dvd drive is malfunctioning, so I'm concerned about longetivity.
my ps2 crapped out on me. Should I get the new thin one?

call Sony. PRetty sure they fix'em for free now.
Love my PSTwo. Noticeable performance boost for San Andreas.
Only thing is, my Logitech Wireless Controller's receiver extends a few centimeters below the base of the unit. So, I have to scoot the PSTwo to the edge of my entertainment center, and allow the receiver to hang off.
