Mythical Pokemon being distributed throughout 2016

Huge thanks to psynergylover for the Arceus code! With this, I'm only missing 4 creatures in my living dex, all of which are mythicals (Victini, Meloetta and Genesect will be delivered later this year, while Volcanion is still a question mark outside Japan). Of course, with the release of gen 7 I'll have to get all the new ones too, but at least I'll be able to have most (if not all) of the old ones.

Thanks psynergylover, I can't believe I finally have Arceus. IT TOOK NINE YEARS BUT IT HAPPENED. Still looking out for Darkrai, might just buy a code off eBay at the end of the year if I can't find one.
 
They've just announced that they're distributing Volcanion through instore codes in America and Europe in October.

I'm going to get my Living Dex done before Sun and Moon are out, after all!
 
And gamestop again, dammit. I'll be relying in the kind folks here on GAF once again...

By the way, another shoutout to psynergy, who I already thanked in PM, for the Arceus code.

I'm pretty sure the Darkrai codes expire this month, so if you want one, you might wanna get on that.

I am in the USA and I have TWO extra Arceus codes. Please PM me if you'd like one! First come, first serve!

Codes are the worst method, I hate that they love them. If they want us to go to stores, go back to the mystery gift over wireless method. Blech.

Not difficult to see why they do them, mind- there's probably quite a bit of money in these deals, and it's not a worthwhile investment if people are just standing outside while picking their Pokémon up.

We had a few Mystery Gift distributions in stores here a few years back. They didn't work unless you went right inside the store (I tried from outside and no dice lol, even a few paces in didn't work). The downside of course was that I was limited to my physical games. At least now I can grab a stack of codes and distribute online to those in need, though some people used to send me their games in the post to get the gift for them.
 
I've got one Arceus code left and I was really hoping to get a Jirachi. If anyone has one from the month they were distributed, I'd love to do a swap!
 
Agh I missed out on the Shaymin! Anyone have it that's willing to trade or lend or something.

I'm not exactly sure if there's breeding in ORAS, but can I clone a pokemon that way still?
 
Since people are offering trades, I really need, and would really like, a Jirachi. I can possibly get an extra Arceus, if that'll help lubricate a transaction.
 
Finally Latin America (at least Colombia, Mexico and Peru) has event codes for the 20th Anniversary... :)

Got 1 for my AS today on Alkosto (Colombian local store)

These in-store exclusives are really annoying. Luckily, I have a pre-order with EB Games that I have to pick up in October anyway, so it won't be out of my way.

Cool that other Latin American countries are getting them (I'm from Peru). I'm hoping we get Genesect and Volcanion as well.

I can't believe I'm going to have all of these Pokemon by the end of the year.

I really pays off living 5 minutes away from an EB Games. One of the great joys of living in downtown Toronto.
 
Ive got a spare EU Arcues code. If anyone is wanting it, just ask.

I have to hope that someone can help me get the shiny Xerneas/Yveltal codes, as its symths that are distrubting them in the uk. (none of which are close to me at all)

Honestly, I really like the code cards. For me, having a little memento of an event is really neat. I've got a little booklet with all my code cards for this gen, and previously I clipped the ads from TRU out of the sunday ads for the downloads too.

I think if they move towards QR codes, they can potentially have the same things they're doing now (go in and get a code) but I'd hope that they'd be universal (and I think the Magearna one is, but only for a specific country). I'd also like to see them do away with one store exclusive especially with how scummy Gamestop has been with code cards and giveaways in the past.

TRU was kind of neat because they actually had room to set up tables and do little fun "events" and give away stuff. Most Gamestops are too cramped to have that room. Or heck, even do it at other stores. We know they've partnered with Walmart, Target and Walgreens for stuff for the 20th anniversary.

I like it. It's much easier for me to remember, at some point in the day, to stop by Gamestop after work than it is for me to remember, first thing in the morning, to grab my 3DS and bring it to Gamestop.
