Mythical Pokemon being distributed throughout 2016

I have a US darkrai code.

Seeking Celebi or Jirachi if possible.

I already used a different darkrai code on my 3DS and tried a 2nd since I didn't know there was a limit. The 2nd code is still good?

If you couldn't redeem it yourself, the code should still be good.

Just picked up my Darkrai from BR-Leker in Norway. Walking into a toy store to beg for a Pokémon code kind of feels awkward, so I'm glad to get that over with. ;)

I will be doing another game of handing out codes soon. I have several darkrai's gathered over my various trips to the city, but I won't be handing any out until after the event ends. I want people who genuinely can't get one to have a chance versus people who just don't feel like going out to get one.

Just got a Hoopa and Diancie!

They were the only two event Pokemon I missed (that aren't included in this month to month promotion). I did pay a dollar for each of them, but seeing as how there'll the only two I'll ever do that with, I think it was worth it.

Now watch there be a shiny Hoopa and Diancie event happen in the next few months, haha.

Where did you get a Hoopa code for $1?

Where did you get a Hoopa code for $1?

Almost certainly clones or in the worst case hacks but you can find them on eBay. (Unless you buy codes, but they are more expensive and you can only buy while the event is ongoing.)

I bought a legit Hoopa off eBay last month for $2

It is impossible to know whether a Pokemon is legit. Good hackers can generate Pokemon which are identical to legitimate ones in every possible way.

Yup it was on ebay. Dude from Germany was selling them for 1 euro each. I think he was someone who stockpiled a bunch of codes, but then had to use them before they expired, which is why he was trading the Pokemon itself instead of the code. For a buck, I don't really care if they're 100% legit or not as long as they aren't hacked with impossible stats that'll make them impossible to transfer between games or something. Both of them seemed like your basic Level 50 event Pokemon and I was able to trigger the events to get their Mega Evolution items in-game so there wasn't an issue there.

He had great ratings so it seemed legit (and even if they did want to take the money and run, it was only $2, haha). Bought Hoopa and Diancie, I messaged him my friend code and name in-game, he messaged me back the next day (today) with his friend code and we traded for them.

Says he still has 8 left: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Ho...724485?hash=item1c66f9b285:g:aU4AAOSwo0JWLPYq

That's not the reason I would've thought for why he had so many to sell. You can only redeem one code per game.

If you clear your save, you can get another. In ORAS it takes like fifteen or twenty minutes to clear your save, download a Wondercard, start a new game, boot the Pokemon to the bank, then start over. I've got like a dozen Hoopa sacked away by doing that, myself.

It's plausible, but again, not the first thing I'd think of. Most people are not going to spend 20 minutes to redeem a code, move it to another game, reset and repeat, then have to spend extra time doing the trade to make a dollar.

Yeah, at a buck a piece, it's totally not worth it. I'd be pretty suspicious of bulk clones.

Still amazing to think that after Shiny Yveltal, we're getting Manaphy in June, and Shaymin in July.

2016 has been a blessed year for event legendary Pokemon.

I never even thought about checking eBay. And low and behold, I snagged codes for the NA Legendary Birds for $20. For my situation, that's actually not a bad deal for me. Dude had great reviews, and free overnight shipping (though with the weekend, I'll get them on Tuesday, probably a print out of the newsletter itself). If it's a scam, I can just get my money back with eBay's guarantee. No loss on for me apart from mild disappointment. Thanks for the indirect tip. xD

Update: WOOTZ. Just got emailed the codes and they worked flawlessly. Totally worth it if only for having another attempt at getting a competitive Moltres.

FYI folks: these are cloned. You should only ever buy codes you can redeem yourself. At best these are clones of a legit Hoopa, at worst they're hacked.

Almost did the thing where I scratch off my code and the code becomes unreadable

Was able to get it entered correctly first try but it was still scary. I almost lost a Best Buy gift card because of this one time. Took me like 20 minutes to get it correct.

Also getting four shiny Yveltal (even though that really isn't part of the mythical distribution). Don't forget those don't last very long! Don't procrastinate!

Does one need a Japanese 3DS and game to redeem Japanese codes (like Volcanion), or will a European 3DS with the game language set to English suffice?

If the former is required, does that mean the Japanese game can be set to English to redeem Japanese event Pokémon with English names?

Yes, a Japanese region game and console are required for Serial Code and Nintendo Network events. Yes, you can set the Japanese region game to the English language to redeem Japanese region codes.

Another Darkrai distribution has been announced for those in the Philippines. You can get a Darkrai code by pre-ordering Pokemon Sun/Moon from any Datablitz store. Also a reminder that many previously announced Darkrai events will be ending on Tuesday if they haven't already.

Just got my yveltals

Never had one before and it looks really cool. Also really makes me appreciate the new character models that came with gen 6.

But why was zygarde also not a shiny. Seems like a missed opportunity.

If you have a NA XY/ORAS Shiny Xerneas and Yveltal will be released this month.

May 11–17: Shiny Xerneas
May 20–26: Shiny Yveltal

You told me and I still managed to miss Shiny Xerneas, fuck deadlines man. :/ If someone could hook me up with one of those I'd be immensely grateful. I have an NA code for Darkrai to give in return.
