NA GAF - Post your PS4 shipment info!

So Amazon charges me on Wed, says it is shipping on Wed, now get told by CS rep that not a single PS4 has shipped yet, get told it won't arrive until maybe Mon or Tue next week. Was previously told it was guaranteed for today. Ask for Saturday delivery and get told changing my shipping method will delay the order even further.

UPS is trolling me. Package got to Redmond last night, is still scheduled for delivery today, but is not showing as out on a truck yet. I'm like an hour away from Redmond. My stuff always goes out on a truck at 9 and shows up here around 4.

Hmph.

Something tells me yours and mine might arrive at pretty much the same time lol cx A specific delivery time would really ease some of the pain!!
 
There's no release involved with telling an outsourced CS rep that the company he barely has anything to do with has bent you over a table.

None whatsoever.

I'll never pre-order another console from Amazon. They're going to switch me to Saturday delivery, so I get to wait inside...on a Saturday, and wait for a package I pre-ordered in June. Fun times!

Mine has been delivered. I'm stuck at work for another 4 or so hours....thinking of an excuse to get out of here lol. I can hear my PS4 whimpering for me to hold it and keep it warm.

Soon my precious, soon.
 
Oh, God. I'm the luckiest person in the world right now. I had to go to work with no PS4 delivered yet. On a whim, I decided to swing by my place around 1 p.m. just to, you know, check. I only live about 10 minutes from the office. As soon I pull up to my apartment, I see a UPS truck parked outside and two UPS guys walking away to get back in with a large package. I flag them down and ask them if they were trying to deliver to my place. They said yes. They asked for my info and where I lived and I signed for it. Phew. That was close. They had even left the "Failed delivery" note on my door and they weren't going to return again until Monday. I don't think the launch madness hit me until I held that package in my hand. I'm so full of adrenaline. Now for the longest day of work in years.

UPS Just came to the office. 3 packages, no PS4 from Amazon.

Update: USPS Just came. No PS4. Amazon rep still claims it will be delivered today.

Does anyone know if Amazon ever uses FedEx?

I'm not saying you definitely won't get one, but Amazon just confirmed with me that I won't be getting one today.

I think it's a safe bet at this point that "Shipping Now" is code for "You aren't getting one today" at this point.
 
This is ridiculous. I ordered on Amazon on June 10th because they guaranteed launch day delivery. My order has been preparing for shipment for the last three days, what the hell man.
 
How is it some of you guys aren't able to get yours delivered today? I mean if you got a launch edition and it says shipping now I'd expect them to follow through on that :(

Ugh, I recommend complaining, a lot. Mine got here today but I was very unhappy with getting my tracking info after midnight and not being able to set up a pick up at the ups facility. Be polite and nice but don't stop until you get some compensation for this. I wouldn't stop until I got at least a $100 credit for what they're telling you.
 
Goddamnit, UPS guy decided to use kid gloves on the door today (when normally he'd crack the screen door glass pounding on it so hard) and my father decideds to go into lala land, ignoring the door despite being able to hear it, then lecturing me on using a charge card to pay for it and now he wants to sample wine (wtf?)

Til' Monday, I suppose (although I wasn't going to get much play time in anyway, since I didn't buy any games for it and I'm at work or busy most of the weekend)

I bet their automated system said "hrm, there is no guarantee on this package for delivery by the 15th, let's put it on a truck with a bunch of people who chose cheaper shipping to somewhere on the mainland"

Really glad I preordered for in-store pickup at Best Buy now...

Same here in Colorado, package is showing Destination Scan as being the last thing that happened last night at 6:30am. I'm hoping their system just didn't update properly or something (I've seen it happen once or twice, UPS being UPS), since it's still showing delivery as today. It is only noon here tho, so it could just be going out on a 2nd truck.

Same here. My friend was asking me if the UPS guy came yet and I said "Usually comes around 4-5pm. Don't think he's ever come before 2pm"

Then he came at like 1:45pm. So yeah I just got mine like 15 minutes ago.
 
Been like this since yesterday.
A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated.

Mine arrived from Amazon and it was quite the scare. The Amazon Prime tape on the entire top of the box had broken. UPS (presumably) taped over it and stuck several FRAGILE stickers on the box. I've had plenty of heavier packages with one and sometimes two of side tape broken but I've never had it re-taped over like this. Both of the bottom side tape were partially torn too.

The actual PS4 box appears undamaged, but I have to wonder how much trauma it went through.

Here's a picture of the torn amazon tape, the clear tape, and a fragile sticker. I opened it with the ups driver present to make sure the PS4 was actually in there.

Look above the corrugated edge and you can see the torn amazon tape on the underside of the clear tape.

So good for UPS not stealing it and lets give a hurrah for its hdmi working with the included cable.
 
These mom and pop stores disgust me some times. I went out to buy something to eat just now and decided to stop at one of them just to see how much they were selling their ps4 units for. The guy looked at me and told me $799.99 with two games. He couldn't even keep a straight face, he fucking laughed right after and so did I.

I told him I was just checking the prices for one of my friends, my console is already on it's way from Amazon. How the fuck are you gonna charge double the price?????
 
Got it! Hoping for the best... Update is cranking along pretty fast.

I deliberately went with amazon because gamestop has given away preorders in the past and didnt want to have any issues. Go figure amazon is the incompetent one. I have very little faith im gonna get it today. At this point i have to hope their tracking system is messed up and its actually out there. No way i get it if its not in ups hands right this minute.

Yeah, I was aware of that, thanks for the heads up though. It's cheduled to arrive here on the 19th, I'm happy like that because I didn't preorder and was lucky to find one up for sale at midnight on the site. ;)
 
This may seem a bit petty, but if Amazon does not ship my system, ordered on June 11th, by the end of the day, they will be getting a rather large, verbose communique from me, and they will no longer have me as a customer.

I ordered this system as early as possible so that I would have it some time within the release window. The system is labeled as a "Launch Edition" which, according to Amazon, means that it will ship on the day the console is released. In spite of this, many who ordered their consoles as late as November were shipped their packages and received them BEFORE the release date.

Now, I'm not going to say that I'm entitled to receive the system on the release date, but what exactly is the point of pre-ordering, if others are going to receive the system first, despite ordering at a later date? I might as well just preorder from a store. If I ordered my system that early, I fully expect it to be prepared and shipped on the day that the system is released.

If my console is not shipped by the end of the day, I will do no more business with Amazon.

If you complain, you will get something. Maybe not a PS4 right away but something. Keep pushing them. This is unacceptable.
