Its quite interesting that no Xbox or GC games will be showed but PlayStation2 gets near half the games
 
Do you think Ace Combat VI is in development right now? Will it be for PS3? Ace Combat 4 is such a perfect harmony of graphics, gameplay, sound and presentation. I hope the same team makes the next one for PS3!

How long will we have to wait???

A little birdy says, expect big PS2 games well into 2007, and you'll be very surprised by some that will be out in late 2006.

They won't show any PS3 stuff? Only focusing on X360 at the moment? When will they show PS3 stuff?

Aha, added Portable Resort. Thats one of the games that you can download a demo at some spots.

Seeing new games announcements (suikoden V today), I'm quite sure PS2 will reach PS1 sales and surpass them by some millions...110-120m doesnt seem optimistic now.
 
Um yeah, Namco, let us finally see some RR6 ingame graphics...

...so we can have 100 pages thread over it. :D

of course Ace Combat 6 is in development presently, but we won't see anything on it until late 2006 or early 2007 and don't expect a release until summer or fall 2007.

Ace Combat 4 (released in 2001) the first in the series for PS2, did not come out until PS2 had been out for WELL over 1 full year (Japan) and about a year after PS2's U.S. launch.

then it took three more years to get Ace Combat 5. we'll have to wait at least a year to 18 months after PS3 comes out in Japan until we get Ace Combat 6.
 
I guess I'll be able to more neatly get information from the GAF, but it kinda sucks that I'll be missing TGS by like a week. :(

No GBA either. You don't need to show new games for dead systems.

A Tekken trailer will be there for sure IMO.
But I guess Ridge Racer will be only on the 360 at TGS because Namco doesn't want to make what Capcom did with RE4,so the PS3 version will be announced after the Xbox360 launch.
 
I can't believe 360 is actually getting RR6. It's going to be so difficult not to get one now, but I really cannot afford both PS3 and Xbox 360 within the next year :/

Now here's hoping that the RR6 unveiling thread won't eventually be placed in the Archive. Make it sweet, Namco.

of course, I could be wrong, and Namco could have a less impressive AC6 that is a only really a step beyond AC5, and we might see that within 6 months of PS3 launch, even in time for U.S. PS3 release, fall 2006. if you recall, Namco released the first Playstation Air Combat/Ace Combat a week or so after PS1 launched in the U.S. but development times were much shorter back then.

but I still think we are looking at 2007 for AC6 on PS3. perhaps Namco will tide us over with an AC game for PSP, using already built-PS2 AC assets?

I think Ace Combat 6 will be very impressive and it's defiantly in development right now. A couple of months back Namco sent the following email to their website members: (see below). Ace Combat series was held back on PS2 IMO; they used pre-rendered backgrounds, the enemy planes were hardly visible from a distance, the explosion effect was weak etc. I think the jump from Ace Combat V - Ace Combat VI will be insane, even bigger than the jump from AC3 to AC 4.

You are right here and there were some rumors about Ace Combat 5.5 coming to PS2 soon, Namco did say they wanted to support PS2 until 2010.

btw: I hope we can get this type of explosion effects for the next game

Sony and Nintendo should be making some announcements and I'm guessing that will happen at their respective press conferences. Konami also has their own conference where we should get our first look at MGS4.
