Props again for finding out what game I was wondering what the title was last time (Major Havok). Got another one for you.

Okay, here's what I remember.

The game was a multiplayer (4 or 6?), and was an isometric 3/4 perspective medieval style adventure game. It was sprite based, and had a D&D type theme. I believe you could choose your character class as well. It's a more recent game, I'd place it very late 80s, or possible even early/mid 90s.

This may be a bit less to go on than last time, but I have faith in you, GAF.

was it an arcade game? the one that comes to my mind had a top down view with 3 playable characters and a fantasy theme. It sounds close but I'm not sure...

It is an arcade game, and it has a 3/4 top down perspective, not a side scroller like D&D. I am fairly sure there was both male and female playable characters as well. (I also THINK that the female character was a sorceress, but I can't remember).

What game were you remembering Pachinko? That sounds like it MAY be right.

Er, you're not thinking of Gauntlet, are you?

I can't think of the exact name it had some unnessacarily difficutl to pronounce word instead of a normal name. I know it was made by konami, and I could describe most of the game, I even had the rom of it for mame for a time but I just can't be arsed to recall its name..

The second boss was a giant robot with an axe, and there was a dragon knight dude has a character, you'd also get eggs in the levels to get little helper dragons , and you'd gain levels like capcoms knights of the round. but man the name.... I know a way to check though, I'll just redownload mame and check the rom list, it'll be in there.

Come on, give me some credit here, I know what Gauntlet is. Gauntlet is NOT late 80s/Early90s, and it's competely top down, not 3/4ths. (The game I am remembering is also sprite based, not polygonal like the more recent Gauntlet releases)

Also, the characters themselves, I remember having a kind of tall lean look to them. Hope the additional info helps.

It also pretty much scrolled in all directions, there was a lot of maze/dungeon type levels.

ALSO, one of the characters was a bard, Nyanko says.

Found it, Its called Gaiapolis

It was a pretty fun beat em up.

Hrmm. I don't think that's it. The screen seems a bit too vertical, and the characters are way different. Sorry Pach.

The perspective was also a bit more like say, Super Mario RPG.

You're very welcome : )

Check Light Bringer too (the shot i linked doesn't show for me anymore) it's pretty neat.

And there's a Dark Seal 2, released in 1992; i've never seen it but i think it's MAMEd.
