Tomy raises the veil on new images of Naruto DS. As these visual lets it predict, it will act of a play of action with graphics 2d pointing out the titles already left on Game Boy Advance. The touch screen will be used here to carry out the special blows, just like the microphone, which should make it possible to start attacks via the breath. The exit is scheduled for April 21 in Japan.

Woah, now you TOUCH the actual character portraits to switch them instead of pressing the shoulder button!!
I'm still not sold on the 'Touching' concept, and rehashed crap like this doesn't help either.

I fail to see how using the stylus to touch the screen makes games more fun. true, I haven't played the DS for too long, but the limited time I spent with it left me with a bad impression.

Graphics look really really weak. I really wish developers would stop looking at the DS as a continuation of the GBA as a 2D shovelware machine and actually put some time and quality into it. If you want to make shovelware why not just make it for the GBA? It's still alive and has a much larger user base...

looks okay. will sell. If this were on PSP, some of you will be going OMG1!~@!@!. It doesn't look any worse than TOE and well, who knows how it plays.

Should sell by the bucketloads though

No, if this was on the PSP, we would be screaming bloody murder. As for the TOE comment.... all I can say for you is:

I don't know why everyone is bitchin' about those visuals, looks fine to me. Although my interest in the game is minimal, since I hate most anime and especially Naruto.

It doesn't look much different from Naruto: Saikyou Ninja Daikesshuu 2 for the GBA:

I see some differences, although not major. But I guess it's because I don't see those Naruto GBA visuals as "bad."

I guess if you want to set the bar low anything can be considered decent. :D

My standards are superhigh, but they're adjusted differently depending on importance. Also, 2D and 3D games have different standards. For a 2D game, I don't think this is "bad." It's not the top of the class or anything, but it's certainly decent. But considering that visuals are a few notches down on the importance bar for me personally, I can accept things a bit more easily. Of course, if you don't improve anything in a series, then having bad visuals only makes things worse.

Like someone else said, GBA port. The GBA version is fine for the GBA, but DS can do much more. i don't expect that much out of the first Naruto DS game though, seeing as how many games that revolve around a manga or anime are less focused on gameplay and graphic/sound technical prowess than they are "OMG I can play my favorite characters!!!!1!"

I got a question. do you think there were some games that were in development for the gba that was retooled for the DS?
