How can people say this after the Fishman Island arc.

Hell the show went down in quality once Brook joined in.

thriller bark and fishman island arcs were both pretty poor imo, but the show picks up massively after those, the latest arc is legit good

and anyway, one piece at its worst still matches naruto at its best

Nah, the Summit War stuff was hype as hell. Fishman Island was too long for its own good and Punk Hazard was pretty unexciting but Dressrosa is a return to form.

I've been reading Naruto for years

But for me I am fine with it ending... They almost addressed everything and the series should'nt asspull another villian just to extend the series further

sure, fuck everyone who dislikes bad shows which are way beyond their expiration

naruto fans...

I removed it from my post because some actual Naruto fans are celebrating, but seriously, fuck anyone that's using this as an opportunity to bash it. It's clear this is the end of an era for a lot of people who grew up with this shit for over a decade, so is it really necessary to be a cunt about it?

I mean, where else could they go? Naruto started off as something that was at least rooted in the world they created but like every other Shonen completely fucking jumped the shark at some point.

I guess I'll read the last few chapters, but they've run out of ways to outdo themselves. Don't really have a choice.

About time. I gave up at the end of Pain arc, I remember being hype as hell for what would happen after the timeskip but it was such a let down.
It should have ended with Naruto vs Sasuke at the Valley of the End.

End of a fucking era, but honestly, the manga has been pretty lackluster since part two, and progressively got worse and worse until the Madara/Kaguya series of asspulls that ruined the memorable end the manga deserved, all things consireded.
The fact that it's ending in five weeks is not very promising either.
I remember a fake spoiler at the time "the mistery behind Pain" was a thing, that had Pain pictured like an Evil Naruto send back into the past "programmed" to kill bijuus. I feel that even this fanfiction-like development would have been better that the crap we got in the end. Shueshia editors are fucking shit.

finally. will totally not read his next work.

With Naruto, Bleach, Claymore, and HxH ending.. I may be done with Manga. I've been reading manga since Elementary school. Wow.

Only other thing I read is Attack on Titan.
how about you try to read some good manga instead of shounen garbage.

well Hiatus x Hiatus is good but still.

Wow, it's actually happening.

I dropped Naruto after Madara got trolled by freaking Zetsu. Naruto's been a mess for along time, particularly after the Pain arc, but that was just the last straw. Guess I'll pick it up on November 5th and finish it all in one go.

Such a waste of potential. Went from being my absolute favorite series bar none to something I couldn't even bother keeping up with anymore. Loved pre-timeskip Naruto and enjoyed the first post-timeskip arc, but it's been a seriously bumpy road since Sai and Yamato's introduction. And then there's this War, ugh. One or two cool moments (Guy), but so many great opportunities completely overlooked. Surprised I managed to continue it for as long as I did.

Guess Bleach will be next soon enough. Dropped that one during that Fullbring mess, and going through it again on Toonami makes it clear to me why I did. I'll only pick it up when I hear that one of my favorite characters (Rukia, Soi Fon, Kenpachi, etc.) actually got to do something cool...which usually only lasts for one chapter before they become irrelevant again.

Meanwhile One Piece has like a decade to go or something ridiculous like that. And I ain't even mad.

quiet you! shueisha is in trouble since they don't really have anything to replace it. bleach also seems like its ending soon so 2 of the big 3 are going to be gone. weren't those 2 mangas the biggest sellers overseas?

Not really, Shokugeki no Soma and Assassination Classroom are both doing extremely well (with AC already doing Bleach numbers and Soma not far behind), and can be considered suitable replacements. The whole concept of the big 3 died a few years ago, with Bleach tanking and Naruto doing slightly worse then it used to. Also overseas sales aren't really that relevent since the anime boom of the early 2000s died down, and also something like 95% of manga revenue is generated in Japan so foreign markets don't have much influence on their decisions.

Battle manga as a whole are also a lot less relevant now. A decade ago Jump was dominated by them, but in recent years they've become more diverse with only like 5 out of about 20 on goings being battle manga.

Kenpachi does somthing cool and it lasts 3 chapters!

I don't see any way for there to be a satisfactory ending. The last fight has barely just begun. Sucks that it seems like were gonna have to wait for the movie for a real ending.

Finally. Should have happened a long time ago. Part 2 has been a wreck but ive been reading it for almost a decade so it's a little word knowing that it's actually going to end soon.

Wow, that's a lot shorter than expected. Probably the shortest fight of the series :/

lol are the last chapters extended or something ? how is he gonna wrap things up in 5 chapters ?

I don't think we will see a real end of the fight, maybe like another clash and then a timeskip into the future, just seeing Naruto and Sasuke both being fine, just Sasuke abandoned the village or something like this

It's been years since I've properly sat down and invested time in Naruto (I've read the occasional war chapter a couple times just to see what was going on over like the last 3 years). So not a big loss for me personally, but I do remember all the time I devoted to this manga/anime back in its heyday ('04 - '07) and I appreciate the series just for those times.

The series never recovered from the introduction of the Rinnegan. Kishi's increased emphasis on the Six Path Sage's powers and legacy were the worst thing to happen to the series. And his handling of Sasuke's development has been so daft that I can't even get hyped about his last fight with Naruto anymore.

If I'd known what was coming, I'd have rather seen the series end with the Naruto-Pain fight. That was full of bullshit in and of itself but was still pretty fun to read, which is more than I can say for most of what followed.

As a long time fan of the manga, I was really worried that he would stretch out the series like they did Bleach. But eh 5 chapters for arguably the biggest fight of the series and an epilogue. And the conclusion to the Hinata love story. I can't imagine it'll end well.

I really don't think Toriko will replace anything. Shounen Jump pushed it strongly for a few years, but the merchandising sales were actually going down after an initial boost with the beginning of the anime, and the anime ended a while back, likely due to that.

D: I didn't know that. hope it keeps good ratings in SJW

Damn, it's going to be weird seeing new monthly manga with no Naruto among them after 15 years of it. Still, glad to see Kishimoto is finally ending it. What Tite has done to Bleach is pretty damn sad.

Still, of the manga ending this year it's Claymore that means the most to me. That was a fun ride, and the last chapters have been nothing short of amazing. Hopefully Naruto fans get something as satisfying as that.
