ummm yes? The way he treasures his bonds? The way he left Sakura and Sasuke alone in the hospital? When he made the promise to bring Sasuke back to Sakura even though he liked her (apparently because he considered Sasuke a rival . Yeah bringing him back in that context sure makes sense)? Those were among the more mature scenes from part 1 by him. Who's been reading the series again?
"12 year old are shallow" is a weak argument.
Yes he did treasure his bonds. however, there is no doubt but he could have saved himself a lot of trouble if he were wiser at his younger age, especially with sasuke. too petty and only ended up becoming friends as they became team 7 and had moments together in order to properly bond.
Naruto had a lot of growth and development prior to that Sasuke and Sakura moment at the hospital. I'm arguing @ the start of the manga and to the flashbacks of Naruto in his younger days, he was a petty, shallow kid. add to his suffering of isolation and lack of parents, it would be incredible that he wouldn't be such. You're claiming stuff he didn't have at the start bar the bonds. Naruto's crush on Sakura and rivalry with Sasuke started before chapter 1. started in his younger years where he was much less learned, and lacking all the development that you're arguing he has now because that growth didn't happen yet.
Sakura said in the movie that Naruto only liked her because of her like of Sasuke. @ 12 years of age this doesn't make sense even for Naruto. But remember, he started his crush on sakura at a younger age as is the rivalry with sasuke. around 8-9ish, is very reasonable. kids will be kids. You're telling me Naruto had the same sensitivity and development he wouldn't develop until after the manga started and played out up until that hospital scene? You're not only reaching, you're desperately reaching and it is embarrassing to witness.
Naruto has had fantastic development as a person and as a ninja from chapter 1 and onwards. prior to that. Naruto couldn't develop positively because the things that he had to help him like Kakashi, Sasuke as a teammate, Jiraiya for some examples weren't there for him. he was mostly alone with only Iruka (who he didn't see how positive an influence he was until later on) and to some extent, Teuchi.
I will not waste more of my time with you. go read your fanfictions.
Seriously though, how fucking stupid do you have to be to develop a pairing as a red herring and not focus on your intended pair by even given them casual screen time, doesn't even need to be romantic, just them talking doing whatever.
And some are satisfied with this? Come on, now. You already have canonization. You need to start looking at this for what it is.
The NH moments though few, was a matter of quality vs quantity and imo, quality won out even if Naruto was not very respondent. But I came to expect less with Kishi. I enjoy naruto for what it is. I cannot enjoy it if I put it upto the standards of HxH or say Negima!. Kishi will always has his weakponts. and imo in regards to Sakura, I think it didn't help that Sakura was made the heroine by the editors. She would naturally get a lot of panel time. Kishi decided to just "fuck it" and go the route that he did rather than develop her properly. it also may or may not have helped that since sakura was not of his design, that he may have an agenda against her which played a part.
Personally, I'm gonna go with he hates sakura considering all things. so much burials, surely not a coincidence
