Gaara isn't emo. he's probably the only reasonable kage. He's far more mature then any of the kages. Intelligent Gaara > psycho Gaara.

But yes they had to make him intelligent to keep him relevant since he is no where near as powerful as he used to be.

I'd say the Manga has less than 80 chapters to go, I have a gut felling it'll be done late 2013 at the latest, Kishimoto is rushing to the end.

one reason i'll loathe paying for this game, the Sound 4 was a turning point for 8 characters, and they had interesting abilities.. not to mention cursed seal transformations.. missed opportunity and just as imcomplete as missing Haku(who is not the best, just the most feminine among all ninja, including the females) and Zab.

wtf, that fight was so well drawn in the manga. They should have let Yamashita do that ep and add some filler to the fight scene, they're kinda wasting him him with such a boring fight in 252.

I guess they wanted to have a nice Konan episode (the anime team seems to try to make the women do more compared to how Kishi portrays them) and saved him for that. Comparatively, they really don't seem to like Guy or Kisame as all their fights have been poorly animated.
Most likely done by the same people who did this episode too.
Yeah, the original Gai vs Kisame clone fight in early Shippuden had some of the worst animation and direction of the entire series.

Pretty much. High quality filler such as The Shikamaru/Immortals filler was done by Hirofumi Suzuki, who's pretty much the best there is for animating Naruto, the other being Atsushi Wakabayshi who did (Kyuubi) Naruto vs. Pain. When they do filler, it comes out great. But those guys are expensive.
When bad teams do filler, the result is Guy summoning a Bear instead of a Tiger (not filler, but you get the idea)

Do Shounen animes typically have different teams of animators? Some consistency with the Naruto anime would be nice...

Yea, they do. Cut 'em some slack, though. They don't have huge budgets and they run for 100's of episodes. Consistency dies at the 62 episode mark. Probably the show that has managed to avoid this the most is Bleach.
All I know is the people drawing backgrounds for Naruto, Bleach, etc.. get paid around 1500-2000 Yen per drawing and they get about 50-80 drawings done per month. That's around 75,000 Yen ($943) for 50 drawings for 1500 Yen each, or 160,000 Yen ($2000) for 80 drawings for 2000 Yen each. Either way, a pretty bad paycheck (less so if you get around 80 drawings.. but still). Animators don't get paid any better
Of course, if you were able to get done 200 drawings and get paid 2000 Yen per drawing, you'd be making a nice amount, but that's probably impossible.

If you have a JP account (super easy if you don't) there's one with Naruto going through a few fights. The demo essentially demonstrates the new combo canceling system.
It's a technical demo, if you will. No character select - straight up "this is the bomb ass shit we just added" type of demo.

lol bleach filler fights look great mainly because they don't have to follow Kubo's poorly choreographed fights which = tap swords and talk for a few pages.
You can easily tell which naruto eps are the 'animaty ones'. Softer lines, rounder faces. And then there are the insane fans that rather have face consistencies than better animation....
God stop digging out old memories of hanging out on naruto forums...
It's just for a tournament Namco Bandai are running, they are ''the Duo of Faith''. When you put certain characters on the same team, they get a title. i.e Naruto w/Sasuke = ''Best Friends''

Hey I forgot about Dosu, what a waste of an interesting character, I liked that guy, it seemed like they had bigger plans for him and then he gets swiftly killed off.
I'll begin clamoring for him when the next game is revealed.
