Agreed, well, I LOVE the non-thug or gangster Pac. The Pac I love is when he spews out knowledge. That was one smart negro, and he went down the wrong path.

Like I said Pac is hit and miss with me... But JayZ is just simple overrrated...Nas got skills, but JayZ... I think if he was Cali or Texas he wouldn't be nearly as hyped as he is..

Think about Nas is that he hasn't be consistent in years. He'll drop an amazing album and his next one will be trash. Also, generally speaking, the man probablyh has the worst taste in choosing beats than anyone.

Jay is tight, he'd be in my top 4 if he hadn't of "retiried". Also has had problems with the album following a classic release lacking in terms of quallity, but they weren't as bad as some of Nas'.

You'll get no arguement from me there. I completely agree. I also think Jay's verses can be pretty redundant often times. Kanye is ok...he isn't a very good lyricist at all. He just has the ability to set a very distinct mood with a lot of his songs.

To Diddy's defense, the guy is actually very business saavy. Most of the money he's generated hasn't been from his record sales, it's all because of the artists he works with and signs. I dislike the guy for the sole reason because he thinks he has talent, and he doesn't. As a business man, he knows what's up. But he needs to take a more Russell Simmons approach towards this and not try so hard to be an entertainer. He's always been a lousy entertainer.

Thing about Diddy I don't like is that he doesn't care about his artist. He really doesn't give his artist that much support, he just sits back and waits for a hit, that does hi Bad Boy everyone now and then. Once that happens, he pushes the fuck out of that artist or group, and once they are milked clean they are back in the dog house.

When was the last time you could like at Bad Boy like Shady-Aftermath, or G-Unit, or Def Jam, or The Roc where you were like "damn...seems like every big thing is coming from them".

I call 50 Cent "Pac with a lower IQ"..Because he basically followed the same blueprint to blow-up as pac did, and like Pac his talent as an emcee wasn't at the forefront. 1.Thisi never ending proclomation of being a warrior/soldier after surviving multiple gunshots, 2. Aligning yourself with the biggest lable and artist..Pac with Dre,Snoop and Fam over at DeathRow..50 With Em, Dre amd Fm at Shady Aftermath. 3. Beef with one of the biggest dudes out to no end. In Pac's case it was Big...In 50's case it was Ja, and while I hate Ja rule as much as the next guy, you can't deny his selling power at the time. 4. I respect your opinion. But the comparisons with 50 are all way off base IMO. For 1, Pac didnt even start beefin until he got shot up in NY and went to Death Row. He had at least 3 albums with mainstream hits, not including Thug Life vol 1, under his belt even before any of that shit went down. He had plenty of selling power before DR.

And while I dont consider him the "GOAT" by any stretch, i think calling him overrated doesnt do his skills as a lyricist justice at all.
