Anyone else been watching this show? It's 2 episodes in, and it's hilarious.

The second episode was last night, and they revealed the fake "Pig saves goat" viral video. I had heard about it months ago, but I had no idea it was faked. Nathan's monotonous delivery is hysterical, this show has potential to be great.

Watch this show. Do it.

Is it good? I saw the cariciature bit, and it seemed pretty okay, but I dunno...

Kroll Show is so amazing, is it as good as that?
The second episode was funnier than the first, but I love both. Jon Benjamin had a funny role in the first.

I like it a whole lot more than Kroll Show, I like some sketches but his misses are awful.

This is fucking great. Episode 1 was amazing: Nathan trying to be hired only on confidence killed me, poo yogurt was pretty great, and the tiny pizzas had a hilarious ending with them sitting on the car chilling.
Episode 2 wasn't quite as good, but it was still pretty awesome. I love when you can't tell where the line between in-on-the-joke and oblivious is. I have no idea how real that Santa guy was, which makes him having all those guns and trying to fight a security guard more hilarious. That line of reality also came into the viral video thing, which is BALLSY. Like, did they actually fake that? Or are they faking having faked it? Either way Nathan trying to keep everything contained was hilarious. Teen Street was funny too.
Man this guy was annoying on the latest comedy bang bang.
He was the only good guest in the episode. the hair character was decent but Mirman didn't do much of anything and Jeselnik is generally unfunny. Nathan at least tried for something by launching into a standoff with the barber dude.

Santa starting a fight with the security guard was classic, that whole scene of them rushing into the mall and getting kicked out was genius.

I loved the aftermath of the viral video when Nathan decided not to give the petting zoo credit and feigned ignorance when the woman called him out.

I'm so glad he has this show, he was awesome on Jon Benjamin Has A Van.

Nothing's topped the silent episode of JBHAV

His voice though?

It's definitely one of the best shows on Comedy Central airing right now. Now CC should fund a second season of "JBHV" but I doubt that'll happen.

He was pretty great on This Hour has 22 Minutes. My favourite bit was when he went to interview some CBC executive. Can't find the clip though.

Yea I don't know how much of it was a bit but he was too humble and serious, killing all the jokes. His beef with the barber was pretty good though that was mostly due to the other guys teasing him.

I mean that was the joke I thought, that he was being so purposefully plain. sort of an anticomedy bit I guess, sure. though I know people like Heidecker have done that before to about the same amount of dissatisfaction from fans

I don't think it really works on the podcast like that because him not engaging just means someone else it talking. There is no awkward silence and it just comes off as if he doesn't want to be there rather than being the extreme straightman.

At least with Tim doing it last time on the podcast, his story was absurd instead of bland so there is room for the others to play off it.

that's true. honestly I don't know why I'm standing up for the episode that much I thought it was a pretty boring one. didn't stand up to the Pepper Heads

Are the segments in the show actually real? Because I really want to believe in the free pizza that's only an inch bit.

I think the brilliance is in the fact that they could go either way. Like, the pizza one I thought was legitimately real. And it could still turn out fake, but it seemed so real and that's all that matters.
Same with the pig rescue one, like Cheesy said that video seriously did get coverage all over, but did Fielder really make that video? Or did he make it look on the show like he made that video? I truly cannot tell.

It's not like Aukerman doesn't step on everything anyway. Dude totally ruined Rust's incredible "funhouse mirror" branch off of Heidecker's bit.

to give the man credit, it's far more obvious when he steps on a bit (which does happen) than when he carefully leads the conversation so the improvisers have enough room to grow into a bit but enough guidance to make something focused. Which, I think, happens more on the show than him squashing bits does.

This is a very good point.

to give saucerman even more credit, rust is rarely funny, so he should feel free to stomp on any bit that isn't new no nos

Just saw the Frozen Yogurt and Pig videos. Wow, amazing.

Edit: I know he ended up posting the pig video in real life, but is the Oak Glen Petting Zoo a real thing? I can't believe he didn't put the actual name of the zoo on there! Felt terrible for the lady.

Fake Edit: Yup, real. I kinda feel bad at laughing at such an asshole move. Did the production company at least compensate somehow?

Show is so fucking funny. Comedy Central is like my go-to channel for quality content (with the exeption of Kroll Show and Jeselnik Offensive)

wait what i thought it was on thursday nights...
they did a "preview episode", meaning they randomly aired an episode on wednesday with a strong workaholics lead-in hoping to get people to like it tonight so they'll watch it on thursday. don't know if it's on tomorrow or not.

Haven't seen Jeselnik's show yet (generally do not like him) but I urge you to give Kroll another chance if you stopped early on in the season. Around episode 3 or 4 I was getting reeeeeeally tired of it, but in the last 3 episodes or show they crossed that difficult sketch-show barrier and made it so the majority of their sketches weren't duds. it's no portlandia, it's no key and peele, but it's a decent sketch show.

Comedy Central is really the only thing I watch that isn't Netflix or Amazon Instant Video. Whoever is running the channel is doing a great job, imo.

That's what I've been hearing. I'll give it another shot I suppose but at the beginning of the season I didn't like it at all

Same here! I mean, I do switch on Spike for Bar Rescue every Sunday but CC is the absolute best channel on TV right now. Their shows are great, although its been hit or miss on a few episodes of shows like Workaholics or Tosh.0

Now that awesome "Archer" episode is over, time for "Nathan For You".

Kind of wish this show was on FX...so I won't change the channel.
