Naughty Dog: Real exciting Uncharted 3 multiplayer news coming early next year.

Increased health is the main gist. They decreased it considerably with patch 1.05, changing how the game played. Plunder, Uncharted's take on capture the flag, was ruined. If you pick up the treasure/flag, you die before you could even move.
What's it with developer just tweaking such variables like crazy?

I remember when Battlefield Bad Company 2 on consoles received a patch that meant you'd have to do 25% more damage to kill someone. Despite if the game was better or worse after it, that patch came between 1 and 2 months after launch. People that played the game probably liked it mostly as is and 25% is quite a bit of change in bullets needed to kill someone.

Same with Uncharted 2 online, it just killed it for me.

The UC2 MP was nuts, so simple and fun. The AK actually used to be good. It might not have been as dynamic as other games concerning gun selection, or killstreaks and what have you, but you were able to succeed just by having a grasp on the Uncharted gameplay, and not worrying about seeing through walls, or earning kickbacks etc

What was so good about UC2 pre-patch?
They lowered the health post patch encouraging people to just turtle behind cover. Pre patch you could pull off crazy kills cause the increased health gave you enough time to lose your enemies by climbing/running if you knew the layout of the map. You could for example lose your enemy in an alley by climbing up a building and then you could get the jump on him when he blindly runs in after you without looking at the upper floor/listening for your climbing grunts. Post patch stuff like that didn't occur as often cause you could mow people down relatively easy.

Because for some insane reason developers do listen to the vocal minorities. They really can't graps the fact that for every person complaining there's 5 more that actually like it the way it is.

I wish they listened to me. I'm certainly in the minority of people that like competitive multiplayer games to be on an equal playing field for every player as far as the game is concerned.

The picking up of weapons in Halo (most of them), Twisted Metal and Uncharted 2's multiplayer design is vastly preferable to me than playing a game for 40 hours until I unlock the best weapon for my loadout with which I then run around with for the rest of eternity.

Agreed, but Uncharted 2's "see through walls" perk for Level 50+ makes it much more broken than Uncharted 3 (where the weapon stats only slightly differ).

All extra content for free pls. Then I'll get into it.

But probably not. Played a lot of Uncharted 2 multiplayer back in the day. Pre and post patch. I was one of the few who wasn't ENRAGED by 1.05.

Uncharted 3 was more complicated. Too much going on. Too much to worry about. Larger time investment. Never decided to really get into it. I honestly think I only played the multiplayer in beta.

This separation of single player and multiplayer should become standard. I'll welcome that with open arms. F2P multiplayer could be optional on a case by case basis.
