Cool, I thought I was the SHIT when they sent me down to the flats with a recorder and mic asking peoples opinions on the sweet 16 OSU hoops team back then. 98/99 ish somewhere around there. I think Judy was weekends only at the time too. I remember Snyder, I remember I think Bob Frantz was just cutting his teeth at the time.

Anyway GO CAVS!

Hell yeah, time to go back to back!

That was an all-time-great finals game.
Tie game with less than a minute left. I thought the game was better than the ep of game of thrones, and the ep of game of thrones was incredible.

All I can say is lebron is simply too good.

I don't have a laptop to do this right now, but I said this to Bam Bam last month

Can't quote directly because the thread is locked

If Bron wins the finals, someone has to make a collage of all of your posts then put a huge transparent
troll.png
over it.

Can someone please come through with this!!!

Can this year's conference finals be a meteor series?

No?

Then I'll go Cavs in 7. Just because I'm tired of all the bandwagon GS fans I see all over my facebook.

Congrats to the Cavs.

Also, I am laughing my ass off as all those loud bandwagon Golden State fans are getting roasted by a couple of Cavs fans I know.

Of course, I am seeing 'the game was rigged' posts too.

I mean, that's cool and all, but it's also kind of cherry-picked. Jordan spent his first 4 or 5 playoff appearances running into the Bird/McHale Celtics and the Isiah Thomas Pistons when the Bulls were basically a one-man show. Also- the first round of the playoffs back in Jordan's day were best 3 of 5. I would hazard a guess that Jordan's first 10 playoff appearances involved many fewer games than 'Bron's first 10. Which is why this cute little picture involves raw numbers instead of per game averages.

'Bron is cemented as an all-time great, there's no doubt. He, Duncan and Kobe are the best players of the post- '90's era. That said, none of them were MJ. Let's not kid ourselves. I'd say even stop bringing it up at all. It's not necessary, and it seems desperate. Nobody who actually saw what MJ did when it happened and is of sane mind is going to go along with this.

A day later and I'm still upset LeBron didn't get that dunk to go in at the end of the game.

I think I prefer the way it happened. 'Bron hurt his shooting hand/wrist pretty bad, missed the first FT, and there was palpable tension leading up to the 2nd FT. He misses that, and you just know that either Klay or Steph is going to hit some garbage, heavily contested, tooty-fruity 34-footer to force OT...

...silence....

Lebron just calmly drains the second FT. The air just gets sucked out of Oracle. Just beautiful...

I can respect this but it would've been an all-time great dunk.

From just the past few weeks

Still love you, Bams. You be you.

That dunk would've been looped on ESPN for all eternity...I'm just glad it didn't backfire and tear his ACL or some shit like it looked like it did for a second there.

Anyway, so after this, Lebron is definitely top-10 all-time to me. Not top 5 yet, but top 10.

MJ
Kareem
Russell
Hakeem
Duncan
Larry Bird
Magic
Lebron
Wilt
Dr. J

In no particular order (except with MJ at 1, and Lebron in that 7 to 10 range). Also, Kobe is definitively not top-10 all time. Even maximum prime Kobe couldn't do what LBJ just did. Hell, prime Kobe couldn't do what Lebron did in losing last year's finals...

Lebron hit a 3 and hit 4 FTs. One of his layups was "blocked" but Iggy didn't even touch the ball.

Except LeBron hit the big three down the stretch when his jumpshot was off the whole night before Kyrie nailed the dagger three.

Kyrie wouldn't have been in that position had LeBron not hit the previous three.

I was watching the game..c'mon. Last 4 minutes and 39 seconds. The 5th minute. It was 89-89. Both teams crapped their pants.

James misses after a penetration a easy jumper, misses a layup and misses a jump shot.

“I don’t think anyone’s really doing anything after this, at least as far as I know,” small forward Iman Shumpert was overheard telling Love in the Cavaliers locker room, adding that the other players will “probably just go back to the team hotel and spend time with their families.” “It’s getting kind of late, and I’m actually pretty exhausted after that game, so I’m not going out. But if I hear about something fun going on, I’ll definitely text you.”

Where is Curry on that list?

A day later and i'm still upset at how Golden State fucked this up.

The defense is championship level, for sure, but they try to throw too many haymakers on offense when they should just be running their stuff and taking the best available shot. Curry/Klay hit a lot of insane shots, but that's a double-edged sword. You start depending on that stuff in big moments, and you're simply not playing the percentages right.

They need to take a page out of the Spurs book and run their offense a little deeper into the shot clock and move the ball more- especially in the playoffs.
