Can someone gif the part where annie is dancing in Pierce's hallucination? That was freakin' awesome! Love this show so much - going to watch it again!

More like the part where she throws off the cape and walks away in the tights.

Awesome episode. Best part was something that's already been quoted: "Dude, what's wrong? You have a full-on erection right now."

*waits for .gifs*

I'm going to take a stab at making my first animated gif (from a video). I think I know how to do it, but have never tried (other than resizing my current avatar).

my god, alison brie is too fucking cute.

Abed as Batman and Troy as...who exactly? god they were hysterical

Troy is:

Great episode.

Notes -
1. Another new professor. And HOTT, too.

2. The Urkel/Harry Potter gag was funny. Did anybody catch that it's a veiled racial joke (how many famous black nerds are there?)

3. Chevy's best performance yet on this show. The Beastmaster costume was great, but the reactions from obviously 30+ Britta and Jeff didn't make sense. Funny, but still.

4. Annie walking away from the camera after the cape-reveal was hilarious. And HOTT. GIF NAO.

5. Britta is quickly becoming the predictable feminist/single girl. Her reaction to the holiday as an excuse for women to dress slutty could have been better done. Her squirrel outfit was hilarious, though. Writers: PLEASE don't let her stay one dimensional.

6. Abed as Batman was perfect. "YEEEEEEEECCCHHHHSSS." The ending with the pan out and the monologue was very, very well done. He's becoming the obvious Kramer/Dwight of the show, and that's ok with me. I think he has the chops to do it.

7. Troy and Shirley were basically no-shows, but they were nice props. The Eddie Murphy costume was funny, but him with the mirror seemed out of character, if only slightly. Troy has always been confident but not vain. Is this from playing football again?

8. Senor Chang was funny, but I can't remember a single thing he said.

9. The Pierce tripping montage was funny as shit. GIF that dancing Annie now, please.

10. Star Burns had a couple lines this time.

Truthfully, this was a great episode but I'm not sure it was better than any of the previous three episodes. I think people are reacting strongly to the Abed Batman and letting that outweigh the rest of the good, but average episode. The dialogue (writing) in the last three was a bit better in the last three episodes, IMO. How many lines can we really quote from this one?

Does it matter that it's not as quotable? The reason this episode was such a success was a collaborative effort of camera work and line delivery, not so much writing.

Britta is supposed to 28. I'm 28 and I had no idea what Beastmaster was before this show.

That was the best episode yet. Pierce's trip was just non-stop laughs (especially when Troy mentioned Pierce's full-on erection). The Batman monologue sealed the deal. Man, this show just keeps outdoing itself.

On the flipside, I'm 20 and I knew exactly who Beastmaster was (though, at first, I thought he might be Perseus, on account of the owl).

Then again, I was raised by daytime television.

Then again, if Jeff is old enough to have seen Ghostbusters (1984) in theaters, and yet he has no awareness of Beastmaster (1982)? Or its 1992 television adaptation? I CALL PLOT HOLE!

At this point I'm just being silly. It's a throwaway line.

@ spoiler: I dunno. It was one of the key moments of the episode that immediately brought him back to reality, or rather, helped him remember he has is out of touch with it. He came in, so excited, and moments later was destroyed by their non-recognition. It was the basis for his entire arc this episode.

Over analyzing? Hell yes. But I want this show to be smart. And smart is recognizing the target audience is old enough to know who is older than them and what they should recognize. Can you think of any character just outside our range of pop-memory that Pierce would think was relevant but the audience would still recognize? I can't, really. He Man would've been pretty good.

THIS!!

But...knowing NBC, I am sure they will cancel it and give another 5hrs of programming to Jay Leno. :(

I don't know about that... isn't Leno doing really bad in the ratings? Then again it's probably cheaper

If NBC was a videogame system, GAF would say, "but not creatively satisfying!"

If NBC was a video game developer, they would be Sega. Most of their stuff is shit, but the few things that aren't don't sell and dont get sequels.

Best episode yet. I was laughing out loud perpetually. Piece was definitely the star of the night. His facial expressions while hallucinating were amazing. :lol

Lol - that's awesome.

A few questions - how do you speed the video up and is there anyway to reduce file size on animated gifs without deleting frames?

I can't seem to get that into a file size small enough.

Well, I'd like to claim that as my avatar, but I'm going to try making one and see if there's anything I can do to reduce file size/ and or get more frames in there.

-edit- nevermind... found my new one :)

God damn this episode was great. I would pay to see an Abed-played Batman movie/TV series

I had yet to jump on the Alison Brie bandwagon, but holy cow was she cute in that costume

OMG the last part of Abed :lol

Chevy Chase tripping out :lol

man, Brita held on to that acorn for most of the show. Annie was hot when she was introducing them cookies.

Annie is so perfect, I take back my comments about for being unfunny on Red Eye. Her taking off that cape and the walk away was so goddamn sexy.
