The only thing that bugs me about the show is that each episode feels almost like a blank slate, most especially with Britta and Jeff. They make these strides to become friendlier, deeper, and more understanding characters, and then for the next episode they're right back at "I hate everyone here, and Britta you wanna do me?" and "No Jeff, I'm a strong WOMAN."

Every other character has made strides, even Pierce. As much as I love Joel McHale and think he's great in the show, his character and Britta aren't making progression.

Ya, I was thinking the same thing. Do you think they will ever end up together?

Okay, The Soup needs to do a cross promotion and get her as a new "Soooo Meaty" voice.

I'm pretty sure the point of the show is to cajole you into not caring at all. I like how they've produced the standard intra-cast coupling right off the bat and proceeded to throw it into a fire.

I mean it's necessarily a problem that Britta and Jeff aren't, like, Jim and Pamming it up in this bitch (and honestly I would hate if that happened), but when it's the same formula for each episode ("do me"; "no" -> "you're not as bad as I thought"; "same here" -> maybe there's something here?), it's hard to even care either way.

We might have discussed this earlier I think, but part of the reason were that the last three or so eps (before this one) were out of order. Also Britta is a way smaller character than they made her seem to be in the pilot. Pretty much has equal time with the other girls, if not less. I like it. It never really made much sense to me why Jeff would be just dying to get with Britta that bad.

Just wanted to post and echo the love for last night's episode. Probably the best episode of television this season. I laughed all the way through.

"Tell me about The Beatles, Pierce" :lol :lol

That makes sense. I was wondering why last week Abed said something like "we leaned on my gimmick pretty hard last week," even though this episode was several weeks before that. :lol

Because she's hot?

yeah the episodes do have a very stand-alone feel which might hurt replay value a bit

Seems like that would help replay value since you can just pick any random episode and dont have to worry about story.

yeah, but at the same time it's college.. shes not gonna be the only hot chick there. i hope they dont get together to be honest. not every sitcom needs a jim and pam. arrested development didnt have one.

The multi tiered joke about Pierce dressing up as Beastmaster had me dieing. Admitting that he didn't even like The Beastmaster and that he was trying to look hip :lol

I thought the Britta's sex dream about Jeff and Britta breaking the head off of Ms. Slater's award is the writer's way of telling us that something is brewing.

I'm so confused every time I visit this thread. It's 80% gifs of the brunette, 10% discussion about her, 5% reactions during the episode, 4% reactions after the episode and 1% fanfics of Pierce and Jeff romance.

I understand you. What you are saying is that all threads should be like this one. A thread without Alison Brie is an incomplete one.

I like this show and I think this is the best episode yet but how is this thread over twice as large as Modern Family. Doesn't compute.

Modern Family is funnier but doesn't have Alison Brie. Alison Brie > fun.

I was hoping the Spanish prof driving away and yelling LOSER would make a good GIF, but when I went to make it it didn't live up to my expectations :(

You know that quick NBC bumper for the show that just has close-ups of different characters' faces while an announcer talks about the show? The one that has Britta making a funny facial expression and then turning away I find oddly cute. And potential GIF material.

You guys really are going overboard with the avatars. Does this really need to be animated?
I originally wanted her o-face and the little wink at the end, but had to trim it down. Notwithstanding, I still find myself staring at my gif as if hypnotized.
