I am so glad this show isn't horrible (and in fact it is totally awesome), because it lets me keep looking at Alison Brie even though Mad Men is done for the season.

This show is blowing my friggin' mind.
The writing, directing, and acting are all excellent, and it's done so much in just 9 episodes (seriously, it just spoofed itself with a successfully. In its 9th episode). The extended ensemble is great, the main characters have been given depth and more rapid development than most sitcoms would go far. It has great, non-cliched plots, has set up running jokes as funny as the Human Being, regularly breaks the fourth wall with class, all while staying smart and funny. And for god's sake, it just referenced iCarly!
When I saw the thread's title, I thought it was a bit early, but figured there was enough potential, cause the show had an unlimited amount of things that could go right. But as tall an order as "the next Arrested Development/Office/30 Rock" is, Community is definitely filling it so far.

100% truth. When they had her the focus as the woman's lib obnoxious chick it was hard to take her seriously or empathize with her. Since taking the focus off of her they have made her easier to sympathize with and much much much more likable. I do think the actress is a capable lead and wish they would shift some shows more towards her instead of focusing on Annie.. I realize it's easier to do what they're doing now because Alison Brie is quite apparently an excellent actor with perfect comedic timing... still, keeping the focus on her I can see it getting old.. they need to do more with Brita.AstroLad said:
