NimbusD = Weezer snuggie. Now just resist the Annie hivemind and we should be good.

I'm not going to lie, I've been tempted. Actually most tempted by the Britta peeping one. Good thing Catalix took it, I really like my avatar :-)

Really great song.

Totally agree - although I didn't even catch it in the ep until it was mentioned in this thread. Its use was very subtle and short. Although they did get the best part of the song in it.

OMG! Annie. I hope this "thing" develops.

I'm digging their mascot. its just creepy and funny

Credits: Do you hate doing this? :lol

Tried giving this show another shot last night. Some decent moments but everything feels so forced. Jeff is such a douchebag too. Why is it that they're supposed to be a Spanish study group but they hardly ever study or speak Spanish or even go to Spanish class?

As for forced, can't say I agree, at all.

It's not a funny joke. And it's totally forced, but to each their own. I won't be surprised when this gets canceled next year though.

Shouldnt we just change the thread title to "NBC's Community Official Thread - Alison Brie wank zone" from now on? I love me some Alison and lord knows I want to see MUCH more of her, but it is funny how almost the entire thread is devoted to her. I myself have contributed. Such as this:

not sure if anyone noticed this yet, but there are MUCH LARGER pics on this flickr acct

The episode from yesterday was good, but I liked previous episode better.

Self-parodying already this early into show is too soon. Britta is actually starting to grow on me because the Alison/Annie lust on here is kinda creeping me out sometimes. Man is INHERENTLY...*tear rolls down* EVIL!

Whenever the faculty gets involved I find them rather boring, except for some main exceptions like Senor Chang or the british teacher.

Now that Annie knows how to make herself "hot", makes you wonder why she wouldn't look like that to get Troy, maybe that could happen in a future ep, but since this is a sitcom, continuity is not huge.

Senor Chang has been in a ton of eps. Off the top of my head: Mexican Halloween, the cheating episode, Pearce's play, where jeff is evicted.. Not to mention the entire point of the series is that the Spanish study group is a farce that Jeff just put together to hook up with Brita.

As for Jeff being a douchebag.. ummm... not shit. It's the plot for almost every redemption movie. And in virtually every episode where jeff does something incredibly douchey he ends up redeeming himself by doing the right thing.

I don't mean to be mean with this (really), but your annoyance with the show seems to be more forced than anything I've ever seen from the show. It's fine if you don't like it, but all of your gripes seem to be pretty far out there..

Did one of the actors or crew for this show run over your dog or something? Like borghe said, the only thing that seems forced is the intensity of your dislike for this show.

Man is inherently good?

So the fact that I dislike it seemingly for every reason you like it is pretty far out there?

The characters have razor thin personalities, the male lead isn't likable, most of the situations and scenarios are too far fetched and they hardly ever study Spanish. I really couldn't care less about how "mean" you think you are, but there are plenty of reasons to dislike this show and judging from how lukewarm the reception and viewership has been, you're the one in the minority, not me.

wow, you're like a one-man focus group. Did you just start watching TV recently?

Why did I just start watching this... this show is so great.

Halloween episode is some of the best TV ever. :lol

You could say similar things about the Office.

Michael isn't likable
The characters have one thing going for them and thats it
the scenarios are also stupid and ridiculous

Yet the Office is a widely liked show. It's a comedy not the West Wing so cut it some slack.

Honestly - I find the scenarios much more plausible than the Office these days.... they have just gone way out there especially with Michael! Still think it's funny, but it's not nearly as good as it used to be!

I think the study group aspect is more to explain why such a group of people would be friends in the first place, and I think that whenever they're in the room at the table, that's supposed to be the study group.

Study group is a plot device to get them to be around each other... otherwise people like that would never really hang out with each other, very different personalities and age groups. Common ground is the studying and talking about their days because they have hard time making friends outside this little circle strangely.

Why does this even matter?
The complaint makes no sense, since they are frequently shown meeting at the library, and they are shown at spanish class like every other episode. That's enough for me, since I don't see how watching them actually sit there and study spanish would make the show any better.

I think actually that is one of the greatest things about a community college is that you really do make many different types of friends. My best friends in community college were so freaking varied (from old professors in their 70s to middle aged housewives) that there is something wonderful about the common man trying to get a higher education. People in community colleges also don't try to shine really either, they are there because it is comfortable and I wish community colleges had 4 year degrees.

On second thought...she looked really pissed/depressed this whole episode, so maybe I'll wait for another episode for the Britta gifs. Thanks for all the work though.
Although she's kinda like that in most episodes
The community college I went to actually just started offering some 4 year degrees.

Yeah, exactly.

I hope people making this criticism aren't also fans of The Office or 30 Rock, where Michael (or Jim now, ugh) and Jack do something stupid or douchey every episode, and then (somewhat) redeem themselves for it at the end.

Anyway, good episode, very cute.

Yeah, it's almost as weird as all of you people with avatars of her shrugging her shoulders, or turning her head, or basically any human-type actions.
