NBC's Community Official Thread - the next Arrested Development/Office/30 Rock?

Okay, watched the first episode of this when it first aired; and as a fan of It's Always Sunny, Arrested Development, 30 Rock, The Office etc, I thought it was pretentious and boring. Should I give it another chance?

I didn't really think much of the pilot and it took a few episodes to grow on me, but i really, really like this show now. The character dynamics have developed pretty nicely. It has definitely been far better than 30 Rock this year.

Between this show and Modern Family, it has been a great year for sitcoms.
 
I've watched two episodes of this and it's pretty awful. Does it get better? With the exception of the Chevy Chase character and Asian Spanish Teacher Dude That's In A Bunch Of Movies Playing Similar Characters nobody is really entertaining in any way. Avatar chick included.

Dude you're crazy. Chevy's character, while certainly not bad, is easily the least entertaining.
 
Finally caught up on this show after seeing all the Annie-tars on GAF. Probably the funniest sitcom on TV since AD; can't wait for Thursday's episode!

And for the record, while I've been a fan of Alison Brie since seeing her as Mrs. Pete Campbell, I'll have to stake my lot in Camp Britta.

Couldn't agree more. I get the feeling that Chevy thinks he is the star of the show. It makes me sad for him.
 
You're both crazy. Chevy and his character are fucking fantastic. Seeing Chase as the pathetic, lonely old man clinging to anything he can is awesome.

Yea, Chevy is clearly very comfortable being resigned to a peripheral character who gets into awesome bouts with other side characters and gets made fun of by Troy & Abed.

You can use anyone's avatar, even if they were around I believe? The fact they are banned, I am not sure if they are permbanned, most likely not, they may comeback and ask you to give it back or whatever.
 
*sigh* Im in the midst of moving right now, and wont get to see this live tonight. Looks like next week will be the first time I see the show when it airs. Then, of course, we hit the winter hiatus :lol

Yoink. Can't really find another good Sophie avatar (besides one I'm saving for a certain time next year), and my desire to change my avatar to something different is really hard to fight.

I've seen one episode of Community - liked it a lot, but probably won't really follow it until season two. I'll be buying the first season when it comes out BluRay/DVD.

If I had to pick on character from a TV show that was most like me, it'd be Annie. :D

If you want to see Alison make out with hot blondes and rip off the heads of dead crows and drink the blood, feel free to jump in on the fun.

Oh and it has Kane Hodder too. :lol

Edit: Ohh Alison puking scene. My night is already complete and Community hasn't even aired yet.
