NBC's Community Official Thread - the next Arrested Development/Office/30 Rock?

This last episode was really really good. I finally understand why some of you guys watch them twice or 3 times. As soon as this one was over, I only wanted to watch it again (but then I came to post here, so I haven't watched it for the 2nd time yet...).
Senor Chang was just awesome. Favorite line "HAVE YOU MET ME??".
And I also like Abed's reference to Lost, and reminded me of the small reference to Lost in the first season of Chuck. I guess it's a way to recognize great shows: they make reference to Lost :lol

Britta was hot this episode.

But Annie... the last 2 episodes she's been on another level.
Personally I think the teacher/girlfriend of Jeff is the hottest woman, but I think I'm in the minority.

LOVE this show though - another great episode.

avclub gave this ep a b and last night's office an a- wtfffffff
Last night's Office was one of the better ones lately, but last night's Community joined the ranks of the elite and made it look easy. Sheeeeit.

Aaw fuck all the good Chang dancing avatars are taken. Next time, I will take first choice, no matter how late I have to stay up and screw myself for school for it!

(Well, maybe not until 2 AM... damn.)

10/08: 5.1 million, 2.0 18-49 rating (move to 8pm)
10/15: 5.1 million, 2.0 18-49 rating
10/22: 5.2 million, 1.9 18-49 rating

ABC and NBC tied for first with adults 18-34, somewhat of an impressive feat for NBC since it ran with an hour of Office repeats at 10pm. Earlier in the night Community and Parks & Recreation were on par with last week’s preliminary numbers with a 2.3 adults 18-49 rating.

I'll take this one :) love the show and thanks for the constant supply of gifs

I gave the show another chance and Señor Chang brought all this laughs with his dancing. The overall plot was stupid, but Chang made it worth it, hilarious.

I didn't really enjoy this show at the start but the last few episodes have been hilarious. The Breakfast Club dance especially :lol

This episode was so good. So many good moments, like drunk/broken Abed. I always feel like his constant references walk the line between funny and annoying, but even I felt for him when he couldn't get it right :lol

She's got too much of a cat-lip.

I expect her to meow any moment. Which is not sexy because I don't like furries. ;)

Finally saw the new episode. Sarcastic, losing his touch Abed is amazing.

And damn, Britta nearly won me over to her side this week. But I'm still on team Annie for now.

Each passing week makes it harder to hold onto my George Michael avatar. Maybe if Community decides to do some Calvin and Hobbes references or something.

At this point, it'd be easier to list the Community episodes which aren't great. Senor Chang was the man this episode.

Also, I'm rewatching the episode and the first class scene shows Starburns with glasses on. Have we seen that before?

Yes...lipstick is the worst thing ever. I find tattoos generally to be unattractive, but lipstick is probably more offensive in some ways. Well, it really depends on the color and how thickly it seems to be applied. *had to backpedal a bit since I'm sure Brie is wearing some sexy as fuck lipstick in the complex photoshoot*
:D

It was an pretty good episode, I don't really get the love affair with Britta and Annie here though. Annie is probably the weakest link on the show along with the black chick.

I think Annie and Shirley are the least humorous, but I think both fit in well with the group. I think their interactions with each other were probably the best part of the Christmas episode. I'd also agree they're probably the weakest characters, but I don't think either are weak characters. The rest of the cast is just that good and it's hard to fit everyone in.

Yeah, B- is like an F+ from them though. They don't tend to use much of the scale. I think they've always been harsh on Community for whatever reason. Funny thing was The Office reviewer said his favorite part was the Ryan-Dwight subplot (which was and always has been terrible) and the Community reviewer said he hates the subversion of sitcom cliches and that the gag with Britta tricking Jeff at the end was the worst part. Bizarro World.

Stats teacher belongs on Pandora.

Yeah, they're both great characters however.

Which was the cheerleader episode?

The one with Jack Black, so episode 13 "Investigative Journalism".

Other question: I thought I had heard a song similiar to Vaughn's song for Annie before, can anybody help me with that?

Holy shit, sooooo good. After the terrible Jack Black episode they have been knocking it out of the park! How long can they keep this up? Also it's amazing how you can just take random community member A and random community member B and have amazing chemistry. I thought Troy + Abed was good but two weeks ago with Troy + Britta and now Abed + Jeff!! They can just keep rotating random pairing every week and I'll be happy.

p.s. Team Britta represent!!

I don't know what the hell I was doing last night while watching it, but I missed like half of this stuff in the gifs... time to rewatch!

Holy shit, we have a new winner!

My fave episode since the season break :)

Britta looked so fine! The dancing, Senor Chang, Abed and Winger drunk special

SO much win!!!

*upset all the good gifs are taken :( *

This episode really trampled each character's stereotypical personality traits... with Abed's sarcasm and pop culture references and Senor Chang's insanity, and questioning people who are surprised by their behavior lol.

*Abed forgetting movie references cuz of hangover (molly ringworm ftw)
** Kicksplasher poster (reference to last week's kickpuncher movies*
***Troy calling Pearce a slut
****Senor Chang's SICCCKKK dance movez
***** Just noticed Annie is wearing her new style without the bangs up, this may be a permanent change

Senor chang rulez!!! He was the best thing in this episode.

Oh yea, that asian kid playing senor chang in Abed's movie was the kid from tropic thunder. The dictator one

On vacation, so I just got to watch tonights episode.
Oh my fucking god. :lol :lol :lol
This episodes was fucking brilliant.

Reading this thread is like reading a Lost thread, but with ":lol :lol :lol " instead of "ZOMG WTF."

I kinda want to change my avatar to something Community, but I just grabbed this one around 2 weeks ago, and the one I had before that I only used for 3 weeks or so. I need to find a way to work Modern Family, Lost, The Office, Halo Reach, and of course Community into one avatar. I don't think I'll ever be able to find a way. :lol

One of the best episodes of the show, period. Definitely the best heavily Britta-featured episode. The character's really gotten a chance to shine these last few episodes. Also think the writers are handling Jeff/Britta very well so far.

Everyone seems to have so much chemistry. What character combinations do they have yet to exploit?

I love how ambiguous this episode is about Britta's feeling are to Jeff than the really obvious one from the tapdancing episode.

Is it just me or is Troy doing more and more effeminate things on a regular basis, for such a manly man tough guy he thinks he is?

How about a bunch of Dharma logos with a different character's face in the center? Make it a rotating set.

...that's a hella good idea without the rotating set. Just a set of avatars of our favorites as Dharma logos. ^_^
