I just rewatched episode 1, man it was terrible

Thank god i have a 5 episode rule
Pilots are introducing characters and setting up things, they will probably be the least entertaining and worst the show has to offer because so many things change.

Burn Notice and Lost in a dead heat too.

Come on Micael Weston fans :(.

Wrong thread for this, but what the fuck is Burn Notice and why is it neck-and-neck with Lost? Guessing that since Hulu shows Burn Notice, that's why it's almost a tie with Lost.

Harris watches Burn Notice

The thought just occurred to me that when a large portion of people inevitably turn on the show (it happens for 99% of shows, its just a matter of time until things get played out/the shark is jumped) at some point in time, it will be kind of hilarious for this show in particular.

Im sure that point is at least a season or two away, but it will come at some point.

I'm guessing it'll be sooner rather than later. Enjoying the hell out of it now, but I can see it getting stale at a ridiculous rate. The premise and setting only allows for so much.

Prove me wrong, Harmon.

The show has to avoid the pitfalls of too much self-parody... which I am afraid is part of the reason why I was not fan of previous ep.

Im an episode behind....

Is that....is that a penis?

No, it's some little animal figure on the lid.

If you want to see something phallic from that episode read back several pages when that episode aired and look at the Annie GIF.

Really?
What animal?

I missed that episode when it aired (my DVR had the wrong episode description with the re-scheduling), and just caught it last night via Hulu. Found myself wondering the exact same thing.

It was that Hulu wars thread that did, it concentrated all the anti-community people and probably voted for Simpsons just to piss us off

:lol is that Jay Johnston as a cop again?? that's 3 shows now (4 if he played one in a mr. show sketch, but nothing's jumping to mind)

Dan Harmon believes the voting was rigged (not sure if he is serious). The guy who made the poll is a critic whose vote counts for 20-25% of the vote and he voted against Community.

Where are you getting this from?

Yeah, the way I understand it, the EW TV critic gets a vote equal to 25% of the total, meaning he can totally win the vote for anything that's not a completely overwhelming majority.

Which is total BS.

screw this three fifth bullshit

A show with a legacy like Simpsons is hard to follow, even if it does suck and has for awhile. It's not a shameful thing to lose to that than an upstart show no one's ever heard of or even much less watch much of here.

It had a good run. More than held its own against some long-standing TV giants.

Maybe next year.

That's retarded.

I was wondering about that. Community had an ok percentage in it's favor the last time I checked. :(

While it would explain a lot, that can't be right. Or does that mean that only 4% of actual voters gave The Cleveland Show an edge over Family Guy in Week 1, or 5% preferred Modern Family to Community?

The critic's choice might have a big influence on the results, but I don't really see 25% being right.

I didn't check yesterday, but based on how Burn Notice and Lost were neck and neck the other day, at least 20% is right.

If one was a bit higher before he voted, then 25% seems right.

Before adding the 25% vote to the Week 2 Modern Family vs Community vote, Community would have been at 93% of the public and Modern Family would have been at 7%

Hulu's official contest blog says it outright:

To help you make your selections, we asked for a little help from Entertainment Weekly's TV critic, Ken Tucker. He's shared his take on each of our picks and, like you, he'll be voting for his favorite shows. (Your votes will account for 75% of the final tally; Ken gets 25%, which he can split between two entries if he chooses.)

Has anyone notice the end of last epi when Pierce says "Troy, you want a bite of my wand"?

:lol

Abbet is awesome, hilarious when he's whispering what people should do

Any chance of this being on DVD/blu before the second week of August? Do we even know if its going to get a blu release.
