The sense of speed, the amazing graphics, the cool stunts (like going under the diesel, jumping the roadblock) just made this one of my most anticipated Xbox 360 launch titles

That jumping the roadblock if this is the trailer I think it is, is cutscene... the driving under the semi was in game.

still weird, in-game grfx are so different in quality, NFS vs Motorstorm for example.. I really hope the PS3 "trailers" we saw weren't fake, I would be so dissapointed.

You're going to be. I think the in-game part of Need for Speed look great. Not mind blowing but deffinitely a leap.

Well, I wouldn't set your expectations quite THAT high...but I think they will probably end up being fairly accurate in the end. As PS3 seems to be a much more developer friendly platform, we might not have to wait for such a long time before seeing results of that quality. PS2's demos were entirely accurate and have been surpassed by real software...but it took some time.

I'm sure we'll see a variation in game quality, though. NFS looks pretty "this gen", if you ask me, and I think that may end up being the case for plenty of titles.

The environment off the road like the city look amazing. So good that they might be distracting. And the cop based NFS's on the computer are some of my favorite racers, I hope this brings us back to those games.
