So I've got windows xp(NTFS) and windows me(FAT32) running on two different partitions. But the problem is that the xp one is a bit small and thus, i get these low disk space messages. How can i resize the partitions and when i resize them, does it matter that the two filesystems are different, or do I need to convert them?

You probably need partition magic or some other partion software other than the ones that came with XP/ME... I haven't used these software recently so I can't give you anymore info then that.
