Hey all. I'm getting back into lifting and need to get some new music. I used to lift to Metalica in high school, but I'm more or less sick of them. I want fast, aggressive music, but no screaming. I fucking hate scream metal.

Any tips?

Alexisonfire- 44 Caliber Love Letter(screamer but very high energy and catchy)
Rammstein - Links 2 3 4
Slipknot - Before I Forget

Uh...that's not really what I had in mind.

I guess you want have some pussy work out eh? Well if you want to get PUMPED UP and get REAL BIG, then you need the Rocky soundtacks.

Edit: Gitaroo Man is right, focus on Rocky IV stuff. You'll be climbing mountains and out running cars in no time.

NPR - All Things Considered. well, at least that's what i listen to while i'm at the weights. :/

hey guys, anybody heard of this band "Helmet?" Any good? Anybody?

I've heard of Helmet. One of their music videos was critiqued on Beavis and Butthead. Past that, I don't know anything about them :P

Motörhead is a good place to start. Also, I listen to Lightning Bolt when I want to get in the mood...

... you know, for lifting.

Cool, I'll look for Helmet. I was just more trying to give enjoy bell woods shit, since he posted it twice. :)

That's two Dragonforce suggestions.

I say Matlock and I know what's up. Check out Dragonforce, and check out Manowar.

FUCKING RIGHTS.

My basketball team hates it when I play dragonforce before a game. They think I'll kill someone.

And that's Dragonforce FTW.

Slo, I've got no idea what you're talking about.

Sorry, just being a dork. The Dragonforce name and album cover makes it look like a bad D&D novel. I'm going to get some Dragonforce, Helmet, and maybe some Alexisonfire. I've never heard of any of those so they're the most interesting. :)

If you decide to make a mix CD for it, or an iPod playlist, make sure to include "Montage" from the Team America soundtrack. It was created specifically for a situation like this.

Ah.

BTW, I suggested Dragonforce because their sheer speed will get you pumped. If the singer's voice doesn't work for you, this is where Manowar definitely comes in. Eric Adams has a voice that gets me crazy. I'm a big dork for their type of music, as well, so Manowar just sends surges of adrenaline through me.

Here's other stuff I got on my MP3 Player when I work out:

1208 - Erase 'Em All
Jughead's Revenge - Domino
Faith No More - Midlife Crisis
Manowar - Dawn Of The Battle (Ecrofit, you're the king)
Guttermouth - Contribution
Elvis Hitler - Crush, Kill, Destroy
Misfits - Static Age, We Are 138, Nike-A-Go-Go, Horror Hotel
Face To Face - I Won't Lie Down
Toadies - Mr. Love (This song slays)
Offspring - Genocide, Nitro(Youth Energy)
Nevertheless - Driving Song
Nine Inch Nails - March Of The Pigs
Pennywise - Rise Up, Judgement Day, Badge Of Pride, Perfect People

I'm listening to this at work, and it's producing some crazy, incoherent java code in large volumes.

Push it to the Limit - Scarface soundtrack

but you need really gay shorts and a headband to go along with it.
