It's a woman singing....goes "everybody's saying different things to me....different things to me."

I know ya know it!

Yeah, it's Zero 7.

But Frou Frou is really good, too. Their whole album is good.

And if you like that, you should look into the 'I Megaphone' by Imogen Heap (Frou's vocalist). It's quite different (came out in 1998), but really good. I think it's out of print, so it's a bit harder to find now. Amazon has it, though.

Imogen sounds almost exactly like Alanis Morissette. I like Alanis, but I can't take much Imogen. I loved Details until my girlfriend would not stop listening to it. Now I think it's decent, original, but nothing too special. I loved that album :(

That's too bad about your girlfriend. My wife won't stop playing it either, and I'm sick of it too, now... :(

I can hear the similarities with Alanis. I also hear a bit of Fiona Apple, as well. And her emphasis with the piano (on that album) reminds me of Tori Amos (especially her live solo stuff and a few of her b-sides). Still, it sounds different enough to stand on it's own and be unique, for me. But I listened to it a lot a few years ago, and it took a while to grow on me.
